Zancanaro has near perfect technique and breath organization. His natural tone, musicality, and passion amount to one of the most listenable and satisfying Baritones of all.
Yet surprisingly, almost every role he sang was recorded in some form (on video, or pirate tape, etc). I believe the only two roles he sang, which have no recordings, were Iago and Gianni Schicchi.
There's a recording of Iago - but Atlantov as Othello is disgusting! It;s very hard to hear him. :( I dont know anyhing about Schicchi, but Orfeo, Macneth, Belcore and some others are also not recorded, unfortunately. :)
oldkaktus His Belcore might actually (partially) exist. There is an early 70s recording of Elisir in the archives of University of Bologna, and he is listed in the cast as such. Just some trivia...
