This performance convinced me that Morissette Amon was an Apex elite international caliber Pop singer. In the years since nothing has changed, except that she has grown to be in the top five, MINIMUM EVER. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic with 45+ years of listening to all the legends, LIVE, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, etc. Morissette Amon is as good as any of them.

Things you might not know about Morissette's talent aside from singing: - She can solve a rubik's cube in less than a minute since she was only 12 years old. - She knows the scientific names of her wonderful plants. (She has dozens of them 😆) - She can run in heels 🤭

Morissette Amon is a vocal BEAST and not only that, she is superb songstress and technical singing master. FTR, I am a retired, professional music critic, with 45+ years of experience. I saw many of the great female Pop singers, like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Regine Vazquez etc, live, at their Apex singing peaks. Morissette is a match for any of them. She has become one of the top 5 to 8 Pop singers of all time (my opinion), since then.

Thanks Rosalie. Morissette's voice control is beyond incredible. Nothing she does is an accident. She uses all manner of different vocal techniques (including her signature squeak) and places them strategically for optimal effect. You are so right about Mori's humility and down-to-earth quality. That is one of the many reasons why we Mowienatics (as her fans are called) love her so much.

Knowing your love of musicals, I highly recommend listening to Morissette's cover of 'She Used to Be Mine' from Waitress. I believe it was recorded during covid lockdown and of all the many great versions of that song, I think Morissette's is the best I have heard.

...she is so humble and great singer with wide vocal range with plenty of colors....she performs better when it is live... her cover is usually better than the original... she kills most of the cover songs... I recommend "rise up", "naririnig mo ba", "gusto ko ng bumitaw", "fly like a bird", "I wanna know what love is", "stone cold" and "will you stay" among few others....

Watch her performance of Defying Gravity. She recorded it in her home during a live stream with her fans and you really get to see what kind of person she is. She is exactly what you think she is. I've seen videos of her in public and when she didn't know she was on camera and I've never seen her anything but sweet and kind and humble. She genuinely gives the impression of someone who's happy to have the life she has and the talent she has and she's enjoying every minute of it. It's kind of a Filipino thing with their attitude about life and also that she's from a religious family that's very close. Lots of videos of her performing in her home church as well.

Among her voice control, the feeling she lays in her songs, her stamina, her down to earth and funny character make her adorable. The you hear a song like this one, and it all together just makes you speak-less 😮 Wonderful reaction and good reading into the lyrics, thanks for your views on it. Haha, I love all the pattern on your face, the confirmation of expectations met in the first and second chorus, the utter surprise in the bridge after the whistle, the „I don‘t understand how she even does this“ look at the 14 second belt without a breath („ang dinadassalsa araw-araw“) and the „whatever“ half resignative sigh upon the final whistle. That‘s what I was here for! And next: Gusto ko nang bumitaw (but not the wish bus version, but the live version with band in the metallic dress)! And yes, the voice cracks or squeaks are on purpose, she can do them as she pleases fully controlled. They are her signature.
