You can see as in other duets with Morrisette she watches her fellow singer and matches her tone and runs to them. She even adjusts the style to them and the song: Marcelito Pinot; Darren Espanto; Arnel Peneda; etc. She must be so easy to work with.
The runs are not improvised here, they are very methodically practiced, rehearsed and iterated on over time way ahead of this performance, but even so executing it is a whole other thing and is very well deserving of praise.

Their hand gestures is a way of communicating and making sure they are on the same page on the run. So if you had watched any interviews with Morissette Amon you would understand her mindset regarding things like this. + they are in a studio, do you think people go into studios without knowing what they are doing? Do you know how much that costs? Any professional performer, musician take pride in their profession and want to make a good impression /performance, an while it is fun to improvise you mostly hear if it is vs not.
