I'm a caps fan but holy heck, I've missed this kind of player since Kronwall, he's like a mix between Kronwall and Lidström and it's so cool to watch, reminder that this is his first NHL season aswell, many years to come and to improve although he already seem to be a full-fledged NHL-player in my eyes!
Seider went from being considered a horrible draft pick, a 2nd rounder "at best" as they said, to dominating in the AHL and having to leave the league because it was just too easy for him, to going to the SHL a mens league in Sweden, and winning the SHL"s version of the Norris trophy, to playing exceptional at the World Juniors, had a very impressive training camp, joining the Red Wings, instantly becoming an important asset, winning Rookie of the month in his first month in the NHL, to winning the Calder. I mean that's just insanity. The kids accolades just keep piling up, it's not if he will the Norris, but when. He will probably also win a cup or 2 in his career. It's just such a thing of beauty to see all the haters and doubters be absolutely rolled when they questioned this kids ability. He deserves everything he gets. He's also a class act, and could probably be the future captain of the Wings.
Mo is just such a blast to watch. I'm not even a Wings fan, I just want to see how far this kid gets and how much of an impact he can continue to make in the league! What a great player!
So damn big, strong, and balanced. When dudes go to check him they just bounce off him and get sat down on their asses. This kid is already a Hockeytown legend.
He has amazing awareness. Sees it coming, shifts his weight and braces his shoulder. Being taller than most, you'll always hit a guy higher than he is expecting. In the last clip, he only shoved a guy on the shoulder and sent him spinning down.
IKR I keep talking about thatt...the way he just stares at other team's players cuz he knows they wanna attack him but probably would be knocked out in 10 seconds
Hard to believe this guy will not be a superstar. He has an incredible combination of raw strength and finesse. Absolute monster player and will be the best player from this rookie class by a mile when all is said and done.
Everything well calculated and every reverse hit is so perfectly baited in, definitely superstar level and can’t wait for more to come, in his nhl career.
not even a red wings fan but everytime i watch seider's hits, they are always clean and strong. his reverse checks are crazy good and you rarely see anything like it.
@@JIGGYJAY420 Lidstrom is apart of the Red Wings org again so he's done some interviews here and there. Says he's the best rookie defenseman he's ever seen. We can't be saying Mo is just as good yet but the tea leaves are reading for an exceptional hall of fame career for the young man.
This is the kind of dman GM’s are all hunting for. He’s got the optimal size, strength, length and speed, he’s got actual skill and hockey sense, he’s mean and he doesn’t back down from anyone. I can’t think of another comparable without making up some combination of past Norris winners.
When big buff left the NHL I was so sad that we lost a big guy with bone crushing hits. We good, guy is an unstoppable force. Definitely going to watch more Red Wing games this next season.
Wow this kid is going to be a human wrecking machine I hope his back holds up. Great hands great stride and strong like bull! Can’t wait to see him evolve over the years to come
A record number of reverse checks in a rookie season. He hits clean and hard. Fucking great. I'd tell Boston to take notes, but Boston doesn't care about clean. And Crosby hitting past the official - same old bitch.
Lol, this is like a definite scenario where you don't watch the tape on a rookie and want to give him the 'ol welcome to the NHL' but you get served a heapin steamin slice of humble pie. Guys are gonna learn real fast. He isn't an offensive D-man that doesn't know how big he is... He's puttin every kilo into these checks, and he doesn't take himself out of the play often when he does it.
100% his favorite thing to do is hold the puck knowing someone’s coming to hit him, passing it almost last second then rocking the guy coming at him knowing he’s not gonna expect it lmao 😭 just baits them into coming at him
Nobody hits like Seider with that consistency. Magic how he always seems to see hits incoming, but his body does not give you a sign of whats to come. The second you touch him... BAM! floored.
It's the funniest shit when they try to hit him and get sent on their azz while Seider barely moves. But it's the icing on the cake when the same happens when they hit him from behind. That's just absurd.
Love that reverse hit. Looks like he had a couple of giveaways and maybe an icing before doling them out though. If he can move the puck more cleanly and still level people coming in, that’s going to open up a lot of options. Very promising player. Will be fun to watch.
A lot is made of Seider’s physicality, he does bring the wood, but he also has great hands and good vision. LCA will be rocking like the Joe soon!! #LGRW
He keeps getting stronger. 2023-24 will be much of the same. He is known for working hard off the ice and in the off season. Had a little sophomore slump hoping he rolls past it this year. He is in a better defensive pairing now.
Seider is an absolute unit. The anticipation of people trying to hit him and they’re the ones ending up on the ground just shows they’re hitting a tree.
Woah.... I think I'll better stick to figure skating :D Ice hockey is really cool and I would like to try it out, but never in a match. These hits and bodychecks are terrifying
Calder Trophy hands down... everything else makes no sense. 20 years of age, first pairing D with most ice time and 50 points for that Red Wings team ist incredible. He has almost as much points as the "rookie" :D forward Bunting. This is the biggest joke of the season... Bunting as Calder finalist :D 6 years older, he shouldn't even be considered a rookie.
Fast becoming my favourite player. He is a brick wall flattens players of 1or 2 steps that's serious power. I played Aussie rules a game we bump.lots in and this guy hits like Byron pickett look him up. He destroyed guys put them to sleep. Moritz also knows nit to wait for the hit step into it they'll skyway end up second best not many know to do this.
Exactly, as a wings fan, watching these highlights is only a fraction of what he’s actually done. The kid can read the ice better than any rookie this year, Idc what anyone says. Also Detroit was rooting for the Oilers man. Tough loss, hope to see Kenny Holland make some GOOD offseason moves for ya and get you guys right, next year.
