Lying for the Lord is a prerequisite in the LDS church. Joseph Smith was a pathological liar and John Taylor would have regarded lying for the Lord as a required response to awkward and embarrassing questions. Joseph Smith normalized lying for the Lord.
@@teresapitman1659 Ha! You imagine that, to him, the two were distinguishable. He had himself crowned King of the World in 1844. 🤣 The Bible does mention "the ruler of this world," but somehow I don't think Joseph wanted people to associate his self-crowning with that reference despite the obvious other major trait assigned to that ruler: lying deception.
And they are still lying and deceiving today. Now it's about their finances. It makes you wonder what else is really going on behind closed doors. That's why you should only put your trust in Jesus. He was the only perfect human that has lived on this earth. ❤️ It's not about religion but relationship.
And as with the replacement of Section 101 with 132 . . . flip-flop, flip-flop . . . "the Church" and its policies, practices, pontifications, pronouncements, proclamations . . . and even its theology and doctrine . . . is a moving target. What's embraced as true, divine, and inspired edicts today will doubtless be modified or denied at some point down the road. Consistent inconsistency.
