Jacob Mayberry if you notice the links you have are opinions of the people, they say things like “I think” or “in my estimation”. www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p4221pc.pdf www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/federal-tax-obligations-of-non-profit-corporations The IRS on the other hand doesn’t give opinion. It is illegal to use non profit money in for profit business and not transfer it back to the non profit. It is also illegal to use non profit money to bail out a failing insurance company (that failed anyway despite the fact the prophet said god oversees the investments so they are all secure, guess he didn’t see this failing twice 😂) and a luxury mall. Both of these are illegal tax fraud and money laundering. Hopefully the church doesn’t buy their way out of this and they get further investigation into their financial practices. If the prophet is willing to lie to his saints what else is he lying about? So are you open to the idea your wrong? Or do you accept the opinion of your church without question?

I was working with a company that received financing from the Church. As a condition of the investment, the company had to switch a subcontract from a non-Mormon company to a Mormon owned company that charged more. This was a multi-million dollar contract (related to road building). So, they aren't just making money. They are using their power to muck with private businesses.

They are using mafia tactics to control who gets contracts. Mormon organizations are defendants to a fraud and a RICO (Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations) action in Federal Court in Utah. I have read the Federal complaint, and the charges and supporting documentation are scathing and there can be no doubt that said Mormon organizations are a fraud and operating like some sort of organized crime shell corporation.

So maybe before you shove your foot in your mouth maybe you should do your homework rather than read the screamings of Anti's and those that hate us.... Also do keep in mind too that the painting on the wall in that chapels was made in "520 AD"... If you knew anything about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Joseph Smith said he "Restored" the Gospel of Jesus Christ he didn't make something totally new.... You can also find something similar to his in a Catholic Church to around 73 AD.... So before you go mocking what we find to be sacred maybe you should look it up... You mean tithing was given to the Levites, I think. In LDS theology a bishop is said to be the head of the Aaronic priesthood. And this is based on their idea that God has revealed this, not Old Testament passages. They do like this OT passage from Malachi 3: 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

right. jesus did not pay tithing (directly). tithing was only given by farmers. it can be argued that if you were a date farmer, for example, you still had to make a profit, and your dates would be sold at a higher price, so carpenters would have to pony up the tithing if they wanted to eat dates. but the law of tithing applied only to farmers, not to carpenters. like everything else in mormonism, the mormons mix old testament and new testament in a big jumbled up mess, and totally forget about the living jesus in the end. mormons are totally unfamiliar with the old testament types of jesus. they are are totally unfamiliar with symbols of messiah contained in the temple, the temple ritual and the feasts of israel. another example is where the law says cursed is every man who hangs from a tree, and they actually hung condemned men from a tree. jesus fulfilled the type when he hung from a cross. but the mormons, having no idea of the old testament types, and desiring to distance themselves from the grace of god, tell us jesus fulfilled the type in the garden of gesthemene, which is only one of the many hundreds of blunders the mormons commit because they don't know a thing about christianity. tithing is another example of mormon blunder-ship. there is no commandment for a carpenter, or baker, or store clerk to pay tithing in the old testament.

In the past the church was spending more than it was producing Todd. Hinkcley has been dead for a few years and he was a prominent leader for quite a while. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, the church greatly increased spending on buildings under the leadership of Henry Moyle. Moyle's reasoning was that by building larger meetinghouses the church would attract more converts. The accelerated building program led to a $32 million deficit in 1962. It was Moyle who convinced David O. McKay to discontinue publishing an annual financial statement in order to hide the extent of the spending.[15] Eventually, McKay relieved Moyle from his administrative responsibilities and spending was reined in.[16] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finances_of_The_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_of_Latter-day_Saints#History

perhaps some tbm would like to expand on the comment: We are not anti-Christian at all. We are Christians! how did you mormons get the notion that christians believe that they will become gods and coputlate for eternity with a vast of number of harem wives and concubines? in all reality doesn't that sound a lot more like baal worship than christianity? song of deborah: " Are they not finding and dividing the spoils: a woman or two for each man" and how can you be so far off track with masonic oaths, endless meetings, masonic symbols etc etc. why don't you think the way of the cross is sufficient? it is of god. is god's mercy not enough? is god's love not enough. is god not powerful enough? what do you think it means: a little leaven leavens the whole lump. our host jessie commented to me 4 days ago 1 Corinthians 1:18, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. and why don't you answer direct questions directly? don't you realize that we are on the world wide web? you have every opportunity to show yourself approved to the world, but you won't. it's very seldom i get an honest direct answer from any of you.

Sadly, I’ve seen many try to defend this. Most mormons will only hear about this from other mormons who will use this as an example of how the church is such a great example of being self-reliant and financially responsible, which are both things that the church teaches. The problem is, they’re taking advantage of a law to receive tax exemption for funds that are not being used in the way they are required by the same law in order to qualify for that exemption. In other words, they’re lying to maintain tax exemption for funds that don’t qualify for the exemption. It’s pretty disgusting. It’s just another example of the dishonesty ingrained in the church’s leadership.

@maxwell: There isn't any Mormon Church! What is being discussed here is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was named that on April 26, 1838 in a revelation to Joseph Smith, Jr. (see Doctrine & Covenants 115: 3&4). We worship God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We do not worship Lucifer or Satan. We do not have inverted pentagrams. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for forty years. I have been in the Temple a number of times and was trained to assist in the Temple ordinances. Prior to that, I spent thirty years in the Southern Baptist Church. Cult - "In the English-speaking world the word "cult" often carries derogatory connotations.[12] It has always been controversial because it is (in a pejorative sense) considered a subjective term, used as an ad hominem attack against groups with differing doctrines or practices.[13][14] Religion scholar Megan Goodwin defined the term cult when used by laymen as often being a shorthand that means a "religion I don't like".[19]" [Wikipedia/Cult/Definition] So, you see the experts consider your labeling our Church a cult is simply an ad hominem attack on a Church you don't like. " Ad hominem (Latin for "to the person"),[1] short for argumentum ad hominem, typically refers to a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.[2]" [Wikipedia/ad hominem/Introduction] Why don't you come back when you know the subject well enough to discuss it!

Harvard avoids taxes with their investment funds and they have more than 100 Billion when they get billions a year donated to them. Harvard is a non profit. Sure the lds church looks bad doing it, but all the other non profits are the large ones anyways. Harvard puts money in offshore corporations and then invests in the US. Does the lds church own foreign corporations to invest in the Us or does the church own the corporations domiciled in the US? Tax wise it means everything. Non profits have to use a corporation entity to own businesses because they must be taxed. There’s articles exposing how Harvard actually does it using structures and corporations, but I’ve not seen a detailed example of the lds church actual structure.
@rickdavis2235
@rickdavis2235 3 года назад
@kolton crane Harvard is not a church doing God's work where people are tithing to be used for spreading the word of God. The Momon church hid the money in investments without the members having any idea what they were doing with their tithe money. The Bible is full of verses about the dangers of storing wealth. Because the church mentioned in the Bible refers to the body of Christ, his followers, the Mormon church and the Catholic Church have a huge problem. Jesus was infuriated when he went into the temple and he would lose it today if he were to walk into a Mormon temple, which is unbiblical since we are under grace now and not the old covenant; the Aaronic priesthood temple period, at the lavishness of it all--wealth stored up here on earth. Think how people could be fed for the cost of just one Mormon temple or one Catholic cathedral. Matthew 6:19-24 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then, if your eye is [n]clear, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is [o]bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and [p]wealth. Luke 12:15 And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” Matthew 19:21-24 21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” See also the parable of the rich man and lazarus. You don't know these things because the Bible is the enemy of apostate churches because it reveals truth and not the false gospels that many religions have fooled the people with.

Anyway him and his wife go to Africa to some very poor part of that land mass and stand there in what is a sort of soup kitchen line and scoop out food to put in the bowls the people there carry. A huge waste of money because if they just had a few people overseeing the food distribution and let the poor take turns dishing out the goop they are served then the cost of the ticket and hotel to stay in could all be used to feed and train more poor people . They could even do like Bill Gates and lend out or give out money to start a business but nope to make the Mormon feel better they say go there and stand behind the food line and dish out the food . My parents paid their tithing faithfully but that meant they couldn't buy groceries. So the ward offered to supply them through the bishops store house. I appreciate the charity but the harassment we got from the bishop and RS president to find better work was ridiculous. In 1887, the LDS Church was legally dissolved in the United States by the Edmunds-Tucker Act because of the church's practice of polygamy. In the United States, the church continues to operate as an unincorporated entity that doesn't mean anything to me because the same article says: , which was established in 1923 in Utah to receive and manage money and church donations; it is also true that churches are not suppose to be taxed, according to the constitution. it is also true that most churches are taxed as 501 c 3 charitable organizations. maybe somebody can explain it all to me in a comment.

One thing he stated about the church's leadership in SLC is they don't receive salaraies. He said, "all their living expenses are coming from the successful businesses they had before they were in their present position. He made a big deal that leaders are paid ZERO monies from the church. That everything they have is coming from their own pockets. This was all said to impress me with the honesty and integrity of the LDS Church. After telling him that I just didn't believe him nor anything else he was saying about his church he blew a gasket and said I had just wasted his time talking to me. Title: "I'm a born-again Christian who likes to critique other Christian sects that don't fall in line with my doctrine". The CES letter is authored by disgruntled Mormons who have an axe to grind. It comprises unreliable (unverifiable) third party source material, which purposefully portrays Mormon teachings out of context. Mormons, who feel guilty about wanting to renege on their moral commitments, use the CES Letter as a rationale to leave the church, because in reality they've adopted a “worldly-overview”, and the distortion of the CES allows them to “sin” without actually owning their decisions - if they can blame the church. Cognizant dissonance is patently sanctimonious, but that is the disingenuous world we live in. John Dehlin’s immature behavior sets the tone for his kabuki theatre, where departing Mormons lament over the grief of losing their close knit community, while framing their new morality as freedom from the cult. He became a Mormon critic after adopting feminist concepts that encourage an acceptance of sex outside of marriage and homo-sexuality, which by any constraint mocks the Christian Bible teachings and embodies the Anti-Christ, Anti-Family challenge of our time. Dehlin portrayed his disdain for Bible teachings through a doctrine of criticizing the leadership for not allowing women and the LBGTQ members to hold key administration and teaching positions in the church. When Dehlin was unceremoniously excommunicated for his condemnation of the Churches’ refusal to adopt his secular reforms, he became yet another enemy of Mormonism in its righteous endeavor to restore the family culture.

So on Christmas eve we had a party at my house with my in-laws. While playing a game called Chameleon we had to think of a word that described religion without saying it. When it was my turn I sang "money, money, money... money." Then on Christmas day, my brother-in-law asked me why I had a problem with 100 billion in the LDS church bank account. When I answered, my other brother-in-law told me to shut up because I jumped down a rabbit hole. My father-in-law, who is a bishop again, said I made him madder than Hell. Needless to say, I gave my wife the car keys and walked home. Luke 18 reminds us that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of an needle than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Christ asked a wealthy young man to give all he had to the poor and follow him. Why hasn't the LDS church given all they have to the poor? How can a church that has such a large bank account and not done anything with it possibly be God's church? It seems that the LDS church has amassed billions upon billions on the backs of people who have struggled to survive. Similar to a woman who sold her baby crib to have money for her tithing. Why is this not criminal?

Well, when a "church" knowingly serves a false and warped version of god and has duped people into believing it for a couple centuries now, the money definitely will be used for godless purposes. It's a business under the pretense of being labeled a "religion." There's no relationship with our true Creator and Savior so the people's consciences are free to be led by Satan and their own greed. The leaders and higher-ups are extremely wealthy (even mission presidents! I've read sources about them making around 300k annually to keep the lie going) and when you have paychecks like that (and SO MUCH MORE than that for the LDS leaders, apostles, and the "prophet") that make your life incredibly lush and easy, even if you know the organization is false... do you continue in the deception or does your conscience force you to quit playing your role in the lie..? Well, we've seen both. Many LDS members, once aware of the lies, quit immediately and make the info public and known to protect others. But many willingly stay in and keep the deception going and financially growing. It's an incredible business plan. But a very shady and immoral one. *sigh* Grant Palmer says the apostles and prophets absolutely know about the fallacies within their religion and continue their rolls in it anyway. It's some fascinating (and disturbing) info that I'll share in an upcoming video. Anyway. Sorry your Christmas was so difficult. If you do believe in the Biblical Gospel and the true reason for Christmas, I pray that God filled your heart with His peace and joy. You are loved! I pray that you will be the light to your family that is still lost in the darkness. I encourage you to try to love them, despite the frustration. You may hugely impact their lives and open their eyes to truth. God can do anything! Even the most devout Mormon can come to the realization that he/she is living a lie. And God can transform hearts and lives that are seeking after Him. The book of John is full of such beautiful truth and promises. Merry Christmas! Love, Jessie

Does the lds church own foreign corporations to invest in the Us or does the church own the corporations domiciled in the US? Tax wise it means everything. Non profits have to use a corporation entity to own businesses because they must be taxed. National bank crisis[edit] The KSS failure, although unique in some ways, was part of a national bank crisis known as the Panic of 1837 that began in May of that year. Underlying causes of the nationwide financial panic included speculative and inflationary selling of public lands in western states like Michigan, Ohio and Missouri. The economic policies of the previous President Andrew Jackson, including the Specie Circular and the withdrawal of government funds from the Second Bank of the United States, also contributed to the crisis. On May 10, 1837 in New York, every chartered bank stopped payment in specie (gold and silver coinage), leaving banks and local institutions like the KSS holding notes without adequate liquid assets. Within two months the failures in New York alone aggregated nearly $100,000,000 in value. "Out of eight hundred and fifty banks in the United States, three hundred and forty-three closed entirely, sixty-two failed partially, and the system of State banks received a shock from which it never fully recovered."[8] Smaller, privately held financial institutions, like the KSS, also failed in droves. The Panic was followed by a five-year depression, characterized by ongoing failures of banks and financial institutions and record unemployment levels. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirtland_Safety_Society#National_bank_crisis

Panic of 1837 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Panic of 1837 was a financial crisis in the United States that touched off a major depression that lasted until the mid-1840s. Profits, prices, and wages went down while unemployment went up. Pessimism abounded during the time. The panic had both domestic and foreign origins. Speculative lending practices in western states, a sharp decline in cotton prices, a collapsing land bubble, international specie flows, and restrictive lending policies in Great Britain were all to blame.[1][2] On May 10, 1837, banks in New York City suspended specie payments, meaning that they would no longer redeem commercial paper in specie at full face value.[3] Despite a brief recovery in 1838, the recession persisted for approximately seven years. Banks collapsed, businesses failed, prices declined, and thousands of workers lost their jobs. Unemployment may have been as high as 25% in some locales. The years 1837 to 1844 were, generally speaking, years of deflation in wages and prices.[4]…. Americans at the time attributed the cause of the panic principally to domestic political conflicts. Democrats typically blamed the bankers. Whigs blamed Jackson for refusing to renew the charter of the Bank, resulting in the withdrawal of government funds from the bank.[12] Martin Van Buren, who became president in March 1837, was largely blamed for the panic even though his inauguration preceded the panic by only five weeks. Van Buren's refusal to use government intervention to address the crisis (such as emergency relief and increasing spending on public infrastructure projects to reduce unemployment) according to his opponents, contributed further to the hardship and duration of the depression that followed the panic. Jacksonian Democrats, on the other hand, blamed the National Bank, both in funding rampant speculation and in introducing inflationary paper money. Some modern economists view Van Buren's deregulatory economic policy as successful in the long term, and argue that it played an important role in revitalizing banks after the panic.[13]

Thomas Davis from a legal standpoint you cannot use non profit income in for profit business unless that income goes back to the non profit. The $124 billion was non profit tithe that was used in for profit business bailing out their failing insurance company and the short fall of the mall building. This money from tithe has only been used in for profit business and never transfer back to the non profit. This is illegal and is money laundering.

@@shawnbradford2243 I was responding to Jesse's comment about if members know whether or not the money is going toward charity all over the planet. But I want to correct my comment. All the money that has grown from the principle over the past 22 years is actually not tithing. The principle and any additional yearly contribution to the fund from tithing is all tithing. The money made from interest and the money that would have become tax, had the church not been exempt, is not tithing. So while a large portion of the investment fund is tithing, a sizable chunk of it is not tithing. Tithing still is not meant for charitable purposes. So, in that respect she's incorrect.

Thomas Davis actually by irs law any interest earned from non profit money has to be transferred back to the non profit organization. This has never occurred since this arm was created. This money has only been used for profit. That is illegal and taxes should be paid on that income. As for the morality of the hoarding, the church gives very little to charity (about $40 million a year, from the hundreds of billions it has). So you claim that it is all interest from the original is still illegal. However I work for a multi billion dollar company with hundreds of local and I guarantee they do not use $6 billion in upkeep costs. Harvard’s been evading taxes for a long time except I’m pretty sure Harvard has more than 100 Billion especially when they get billions donated to them from alumni. Look it up. Harvard puts money in foreign corporations than invests in the US and avoids all taxes. Harvard is way more progressive and talks about reform and stuff in some speeches, but in all reality they offshore money and they’re a non profit. If the church does what Harvard does maybe they avoid taxes, but I’ve not seen the proof that they own US companies through foreign corporations.

The Mormons 've been well "conected" with the c-ia. Many c-ia agents 've been well groomed by LDS school!

it is true the fbi and cia are top heavy with mormons. 2 years foreign mission gives a young man a foreign language and a believeable cover story and knowledge about a country's culture. also, mormons don't question authority. that makes them very attractive federal employees.

This video contains disinformation. All taxes were paid as expected, the church did not dodge any taxes! The church is not a publicly traded company and has a right to keep its business private. They consulted legal counsel on how to report and followed that counsel. However, tax laws are complex and can be interpreted many ways. The IRS can choose to prosecute who they want and many organizations are targeted each year.

No it doesn't contain disinformation, it presents the truth, backed up with sources. Folks, watch 60 minutes tonight (May 14, 2023). It has a good interview with the Mormon church investment firm whistleblower.

I wanna see a video of you just preaching Gods Word not just bashing Mormons all the time. Everyone knows it’s a false religion and there are so many channels already condemning it so you can make other videos about your faith.
