Hi , I'm from Sydney Australia thanks for your really good videos. I enjoy them always. Also thanks for sharing all the tips about pigeons and lofts. I have a few pigeons just as pets. I enjoy watching them fly everyday. Regards, Iqbal
thank you sir , your blessed with sence , lovely dry loft , air and sun are free and impotant , pigeons are a credit to you , watched all your vids there great , ive had pigeons close to 25 years , and still learned so much from you , thanks brother
I had a pigeon inside my livingroom for 34 days from 6/8-2018, as he had fallen down from a nest and was limping. He could only fly 1 meter or so. He did not get thicker plumage inside, though the windows were very open, so I put him out as early as I dared to, when he could fly some 10 to 30, 40 meters. Now on 20/9, his plumage is much better as he has lived outside in the city with many other pigeons. He is tame to me and comes to eat and drink and sit by me. He is so cute, so intelligent and innocent like a baby. He is my baby and I love him. I put diatomacous earth on him the first day and he ate it too so he did not have any parasites or anything. It should be arranged some nice open air houses for wild birds in cities. They are so nice to have around. And he preferred to sleep on somethng softer, and sit on something soft, such as hemp-material with a hemp towel around it.
Hi Dacian, hope you read my comment I Really like your videos about pigeons, am your new subscriber on your channel and have 2 questions, 1st how do you tame adult Racing Homing pigeons that you buy by internet and they are about 1 or 2 years old ? and if you have 2 cocks, and you buy 2 more pairs but you want your first two cocks with the two new females you just buy how and when is the time to put them together in a breeder box along ? Can you please answer me, have a grate DAY/NIGHT regards from Denison,IOWA,USA.
q2: remove from the compartment the 2 cocks you bought last time and leave the hens with the first two cocks only, this should ease the process of pairing. Create darkness in the nestboxes by applying a piece of cardboard to the front of your nestboxes, this should increase their drive for mating. q1: taming an older bird can be sometimes a pain on the backside . I remember I bought a 3 years old hen once and she would hit the roof as soon as I enter the loft - not my type of birds as these birds will create panic even in your already tamed ones. You will need a lot of patience and very tasty seeds that they love . As soon as they have babies they should become tamer and then is the time for you to try to create a trustful relationship between you two. everything you give to this birds must be extremely tasty so they will associate your presence in the loft with something very positive thus they will become keener to see you .It took me nearly 1 year to tame that hen to the stage where she would eat from my palm but only a few grains and I was always the one to move back this way I would leave her confident - which means again a positive experience. there is a lot for me to explain but this is in short how I recommend you do it . Hope this help .Kind Regards . Dacian Busecan
I have been having a problem with my young birds having watery droppings that I can’t get right. I clean twice a day and use loft dressing to try to keep the loft dry. What would you suggest I try?
