Cool, it's been a while. I'm surprised you could get diethanolamine in the first place, as it's on the CW list as a precursor.

Way back in the ancient history of my youth, serving as a chemist on a nuclear submarine, we used morpholine to control and maintain the proper pH of the steam plant in the engine room. Morpholine partitions itself well between the water and steam phases, and the basic pH inhibited corrosion of all the metal piping and components. Stunk like hell though.

Where did the lab oven come from? I used to have a can of glass cleaner which contained morpholine.

If it's so hydroscopic, why not store it on sieves, or on sodium metal?
