Nobody Loves Us: Nine times fined Never mind Things can only improve We are just stood here Waiting for the next great wound And we just can't wait to make more mistakes And to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake All in all, imagine this : Nobody loves us Dab-hands at trouble With four days of stubble, we are Never loosen the grip on our hand Call us home Kiss our cheeks Nobody loves us So we...oh...we tend to please ourselves People think all we do Is lie around and think of how Rich we'd be if we didn't think Life could improve And we just can't wait to make more mistakes And we just can't wait till the whole thing blows up in our face Call us home Kiss our cheeks Nobody loves us Dab-hands at Trouble With four days of stubble, we are So, never loosen the grip on our hand Call us home Make our tea Nobody loves us So we...oh...we tend to please ourselves Call us home Tuck us in Nobody wants us Dreamers and schemers All pie-eyed, and bog-eyed, and cross-eyed Oh, never loosen the grip on our hand Whack us, then Hug us hard Nobody loves us So we...oh...we tend to please ourselves And we just can't stress, oh, how more the mess And complete distress won't make much difference to us Sing us our Favorite song Nobody loves us Born-again atheists Practicing troublemakers Make us our Favorite jam Nobody loves us Useless and shiftless And jobless But we're all yours Nobody Loves Us lyrics

Yeah, just so hidden. But it's deeply embeded in me. Talk about hidden songs. Like that other B side from years past, How Soon Is Now. But that one does have the exposure it needed after all this time.
"We are just stood here waiting for the next great wound..." "And we just can't wait to make more mistakes and we just can't wait till the whole thing blows up in our face..." Good and painful phrases at the same time.
Saw this live in 1997 in Toronto. In late 1995, this was a bside for DD from SG, used to listen to it on the greyound from Montreal to Toronto oh so many times until my Duracell's said goodnight. All in all, imagine this....
One of the greatest lyrics/songs he's ever written and all his songs are above brilliant of course. The "cool sycophants " have dropped off him of course proving they never really understood him or his life's work. They just ebb and sway on with the next cool thing. Good riddance to those wanna be, try hard never wasis' I will be here.
I'm embarrassed to say I've just heard it . I was playing Southpaw Grammer (2009 expanded) full album and this came on at the end. After all these decades of Morrissey listening, this escaped me. But this song..It just drew me. It's been on repeat all day, I have been playing along on guitar all day (tip of the hat to Alan Whyte). This melody has simply gripped me and won't let go.

He's saying that Morrissey would have received a better response as a solo artist if he wasn't in the Smiths beforehand as it has overshadowed his later (current) greatness.
I would love for this, and Blue dreamer's eyes (another incredible "b-side") to be put onto one of his new albums, they deserve it. MAKE US OUR FAVOURITE JAM NOBODY LOVES US
