This video doesn't include Hircine or Azura's dialogues, they've been made into their own video. Molag Bal has a bit to say on vampirism that's also not included. Sheogorath (Morrowind) - "Well hello kind mortal, mind doing some work for me?" Sheogorath (Oblivion/Skyrim/ESO) - "How ya don laddie! Mind running an errand for me? Honestly, I don't care if you want to or not. If you don't, I'll skip rope with yer intestines!"
Morrowind MD: How do you do, good sir? I would normally crush you for foolishness but I must commend your bravery. Skyrim MD: Blood for the BLOOD GOD! Kill in my name, MAGGOT!
Personally I think they should have made it so that Sheogorath switches between his gentlemanly and eccentric personalities. Afterall, duality is a recurring theme with Sheogorath.
Well he is the lord of change... So I guess it was his lawyer phase, lol. Please read the paper's properly, sign with your initials here, here, and draw a line of blood across the land in the name of Mehrunes Dagon.
Boethea sounds like an altmer with voice distortion. And the altmer in morrowind sound like radio talkshow hosts. "The finest potions and elixirs in town are right here"
"A Army of Argonians have been seen rushing the oblivion gates. Authorities advise that every non-combat ready daedra shoild stay at home, and barricade all possible entrances." "And that was today's Report. Tune in to channel 7 tomorrow at 3 pm for the latest news from ONN."
Skyrim mehrunes Dagon : I WILL KILL ALL LIFE ON TAMRIEL FIRE FIRE FIRE Morrowind Mehrunes Dagon : hello sir i would like to spread the good word of Jesus Christ !
"Rebuild my shrine mortal" yeaaaaah. No, you're a god, so why do you need my help with that anyways? I'm also an adventurer, not a builder, ask Dovakhiin, he likes building homes.
@@BifronsCandle Probably has a lot to do with his role as a god-king in Morrowind, the Nerevarine is supposed to be restoring his cult in the main quest so they didn't make him look too bad
In Morrowind. They truly sound like actual gods whom you've invoked, and you feel lesser than them in every way possible. In Oblivion, they sound boring
Man. I really prefer Sheogorath in Morrowind. The fact that he does not sound crazy at all is terrifying. Plus, that is how a Daedric Prince of madness should. A contradiction in of itself.
PatritianTV pointed out, madness is normal to him, so he should say the most insane things in a normal way. It's like the Hanibal Lector in Manhunter and the one in Silence of the Lambs.
I dont know if 40 something year old dad is what id call a God of Ambition and Change but you do you. Meanwhile Meridia's beacon is heart attack inducing.
They sound a lot more evil in Morrowind. Sheogorath sounds more creepy than crazy too lol. Azura also had a cooler voice as well imo. Yeah Hircine and Azura would need their own video for sure as they play a much larger role in the game and the expansions.
Mehrunes Dagon was once the aedric god of hope, btw. He tried to stop Alduin from eating the world in a previous kalpa and lost. Alduin cursed him into being the daedric monster he is now as punishment for his sedition.
I love Wes Johnson's performances, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer this iteration of Sheogorath. He has more of a creepy Hannibal Lecter vibe going on, rather than the painfully overt "LOL I GOT CHEESE AND BLOOD IN ME HAGGIS, SO RANDOM XD" version we got from Oblivion onward. I do wish Mehrunes Dagon sounded a bit more distinct from Dagoth Ur, though.
I feel like Daedra had more pleasant dialogue in Morrowind. They felt less demonic and more like their Aedra counterparts. Now they’re almost certainly aligned with devils and monsters.
Their voices in Morrowind were the best, besides Molag Bal's which I liked it more in Skyrim and Online. I mean Sheogorath and Mehrunes Dagon's voices are so calm, while in Skyrim and Oblivion they sound so threatening.
That's the point though, sheogorath and mehrunes dagon should sound threatening, they're the daedric princes of destruction and madness respectively. They shouldn't sound like a regular laywer or a dad with three kids
@@zakl940 That's not the point though: Sheogorath should be comforting, kind, friendly, loving- to lure you into comfortable insanity, into his domain. Sheogorath isn't just lulsorandom he's that little part of you that tells you no one likes you, the world would be better off without you, everyone hates you, that you want to NO YOU NEED TO listen to your own delusions, to deny reality for comfort. And that's more terrifying than any 'RIP OUT YOUR INSTESTINES could be'
Dagon sounds like that friend in your high school who was one of your friends in your gang, who was known to be a troublemaker, then he grows up to be a wealthy businessman and then you, you live in a studio apartment
Mehrunes Dagon has the best voice, because they changed it very little through sound effects. So he sounds more human, while some others seem more generic, computer-generated.
Dagon and Dagoth Ur having the same voice actor probably doesn’t mean anything but it’s interesting Dagon is the prince of destruction, revolution, ambition and change Dagoth spends the game plotting a kind of revolution against the Empire. He causes great destruction with his ash minions and blight storms. Has ambitions to harness the power of the Heart of Lorkhan and activate Akulakhan. His actions incite great change; the destruction of the Heart ushers in the decline and eventual downfall of the entire Tribunal and rise of a new era in Morrowind’s history. Dagoth Ur kind of seems like an agent of Mehruns Dagon Or is just so ungodly powerful he’s using the prince’s statue to communicate with you from Red Mountain
