Well, as we heard, she had a lot of fight in her life. She crushed everyone in her path, from males of her kingdom to any other possible enemy. Her only anchor, rage. Everything else was learned from the enemy. You cannot win something you don't understand. And she's very understanding. And a quick learner (having such body helps XD).

Lin Kuei are assassins. Ninjas were not always assassins. Shinobi as they are traditionally called means spy, so they were mainly trained in espionage and also sabotage, map making, stealing and such. Although sometimes they were hired for assasinations that doesn't necessarily makes them assassins.

Elle Hood Well we don't know what's going to happen to Sindel after Liu Kang fixed the timelines. He erased Shang Tsung from all of them in Aftermath. I'd imagine the only reason he wouldn't erase Shao Kahn is because of Kitana but seeing as he's fully embraced being a god now. I don't think he wants that kind of relation with her anymore. Anyways since Shang Tsung is gone I don't know how a Mortal Kombat Tournament can exist. Didn't Shang create the MK Tournament as a means to conquer realms easier? I don't think Shao knew of Earthrealm before the tournament.
