I’m convinced Kung Jin is one of the only people that holds Kung Lao in a high place of respect, ironic since he’s the most disrespectful of the Kombat Kids

Am I the only person left that doesn't care about fictional character's sexuality at all ? Too bad that his sexuality is the only original trait of his character and most people will remember him only as a "that gay from mkx.

Lol Kung Jin is super fun to play as, but man, even in interaction sequences he's an ass. i love it, fits his character so well even now, two years later, he's still awesome
I know this is an old video from an old game, but I seriously do appreciate one of those interactions with Kano. Kung Jin makes his entrance. "You make me sick!" Kano replies, angrily, "Watch your tongue, or I'll have it!" as he inserts his power core. "Thanks for the bright red target!" Kung Jin replies. I'm sure there are similar interactions I simply don't remember, but I enjoy how it seemed Kung Jin actually reacted to something in Kano's animation; the power core in his chest. I know he may have been referring to Kano's cybernetic eye, but I assume he would mention it first in that case.

A.J. Farmer I'll tell you this much: She's an Edenian, she has long, white hair, and she mostly wields her five swords with telekinetic magic (though I would have it that in one of her variations, she wields them more by hand). She also has a magic flute, but she doesn't use it in battle.

While I love most of the cast in MK11, kind of a shame Kung Jin nor Takeda was brought back for it... Especially with their plotlines relating to their families and their past. Just a shame.
@@edencieslowski9310 Do remember that MK:X took around twenty years after Johnny Cage defeated Shinok, Johnny plus Sonya saved Jackson Briggs and some of the revenants from the Netherrealm and Johnny and Sonya marrying. This means that it took twenty years before we got Cassie, Jacqui, Jin and Takeda to show up, a timeline that is so so so far ahead to the timeline present in the current MK1(or 12) where Kung Lao is still young and Bi-Han is still Sub Zero and not Noob Saibot.
@@blastermaster5039 Kung Jin is not an offspring of Kung Lao which means he always existed but wasn’t prevalent until 25 years later, plus mk1 mention him so it seems they’re closer in age this time around
There’s 3 ways you could take that exchange: 1. “You never could accept me.” “Because I know you’re gay.” 2. “You never could accept me.” “Because I know you’re a thief.” 3. “You never could accept me.” “(shrug) You’re gay. And?” I lean toward #3 cause it fits Jin’s follow up line the best. I’d like to think they wouldn’t make a Liu a straight-up homophobe 🤷♀️
A lot of people seem to forget that Liu Kant and Kung Lao were appalled at the idea the Shaolin would reject Kung Jin because of who he loved. The… “proclivities” Liu Kang mentioned here specifically referred to Jin’s past as a thief, nothing more. Also take the line with a pinch of salt because canonically Liu was a revenant at this point and so he’s naturally going to be more of a prick.
I took that line as an unenthusiastic way for Liu Kang to say “I know you’re gay, big whoop.” Fits with Jin’s follow up: “Wow, thanks for the reassurance.”
I agree most of his shame comes from being a thief instead of honoring his family warrior legacy, not so much being gay although that’s also probably why he didn’t follow the Shaolin from the first place

I'm sure no one will see this but, I did find two extra dialogues between Takeda and Kung Jin. So far I've yet to find any video proof about these hidden ones. The recorded ones are even in the game files. The two dialogues in question are: Kung Jin: This loser's playing on Christmas? Takeda: Alone, controller in each hand. Kung Jin: Then how ya s'posed to masturbate? Kung Jin: What time is it...? Takeda: Almost midnight. Kung Jin: Time to kick your ass...
Jax: “How should we spend our time today?” Kung Jin: “Give me all you got, Has-been!” Jax: “A day at the hospital it is!” Kung Jin knows how to strike a nerve!
Midori Gurin I like many straight characteres ( well I didn't have the choice ) yet that doesn't make straight. So you can like a gay character without being gay yourself.
He`s a bland and forgettable character, at least with johnny cage he`s a lovable prick where as Kung Jin is just annoying, glad the devs left him out of MK11.
+Gamesmarts194 Well, he was kind but all his friends died and he was killed by his mentor so that definitely changed his personality. I will admit I prefer him the kind way tho xD
