I am certain they are not regular servicemen of Ukrainian military. Just reservists called to battle as they are needed. That means they are not professionals and that makes them even more heroic in their work.

I have hear many E Ukrainians from the Donbas region stating that their homes are under constant fire -from the Ukrainian side. If you look for videos here on yt about the far right Ukrainian militias bombing whole neighborhoods in E Ukraine since 2014, you'll find a mountain of them.

When they get back "out there" again, their performance are a 100% again. Everyone gets worn out when under constant stress. But not all learn to handle the stress.
