It would be nice to get a better shot of your rake/edge tiles. I've never seen a piece like that before. Looks like a feild and rake tile in one? Nice job guys.
@@roofingshiteroofing1189 No sir, we don't have those here on the USA, at least here in California..We could probably learn a lot from u tile guys in England. Nice seeing your work 👌
I don't like minimal overhangs on the eaves and verges. I prefer a nice wide soffit, it really helps to keep the lower section of the walls and footpaths dry, 👍 🔨 🇮🇪
@@DSkimRS Agree completely. One of the best things you can do for a building from day one is to build large roof overhangs, it reduces the moisture load on the walls and windows massively, just a bit more material and time but worth it. At least do it on the verges if you're not gonna do it at the eaves. Check out the swiss chalet style.
Your scaffolding is terrible… no hand rails or toe boards, didn’t even look tied in properly I’m not sure but I think in the video you can see the scaffolding swaying ?
A full scaffolding on a job like this and the added cost probably means the customer won’t go for it. I’d be happy to work on this some wouldn’t. I learned my trade doing full reroofs on a very similar quick stage tower.
@@roofingshiteroofing1189 very true, where I stay there is houses built in the 1930s with slate roof and lead hips and ridges, the other side of me is new builds with all modern tiles and dry verge, ridge hip systems, wonder how the new systems will age and perform in the next 50-100 years
