This is from a family concert they used to put on every year. The great Thomas A. Whitfiled used to write songs and the Morton family would sing them before he recorded them. This is footage from New Orleans (circa early 80's).
Bishop James Morton is a General in the gospel a man of wisdom he's smart and knows how to operate a church at its best. He's solid and very anchored and who he is in Christ, I truly believe he really loves the Lord.

My Grandmother once told me when she came to Detroit, MI in 1945 there were two ministers in Detroit that were tops, Rev. CL Franklin and Elder CL Morton then. I've always wondered when did his wife pass Evangelist Matilda Morton. Anyone know this historical information? I never knew Bishop Morton had a church in Detroit. I always thought he pastored in Ontario, Canada.
Bishop C. L. Morton Jr. pastored in Detroit. He passed in 2020 and was survived by his wife, Yvonne. His father, Bishop C.L. Morton Sr., pastored in Ontario, though he also started out in Detroit.
