Agree but it doesn’t hurt to play a new character. The first 4 days I started off as a Jason main and switched to joker as soon as I got enough to buy him I’m now level 14 with him. BUT I’ve been also maining batman on the side but just recently picked up stripe and I’m now learning him and he’s actually tough💯
@@youtubewhy1023 nah, the nade split alone ruined Morty’s ability for setups and to be a Mage/bruiser, now he’s just a mid bruiser and there’s no reason to play him over say, tnj, gizmo etc…
Tom and Jerry can reflect almost everyone’s projectiles, from lebron basketballs to shaggy sandwiches and even Morty snakes using his neutral attack. And using you down air special can help when in disadvantage
smh morty is still good, pre-parch morty mains downplayed him so much even tho he was prob lile the 6th or 7th best character and once he gets a small nerf, they complain and switch mains 😭
One of his comments on why he switched “they took away everything that make him skill based” proceeds to shoot Jerry six times in row with no other move in between in the first Game. Bro is trolling 😂😂😂
I’m started playing tnj a bit more around 2 weeks ago, but Morty is still where my passion lies. I really hope they can revert the mudwall split and maybe even give him a couple small buffs 🤞
T&J is goated, just needs a *few* more buffs. Increase Jerrys health, and give him some combos back. That's literally all... doesn't need much killpower if you're playing 2v2s.
one thing I noticed was that you never used the neutral after shooting Jerry. I've watched quite a bit of voids work, and he uses the tennis balls to good effect, maybe try that as well? idk, but I'm sensing something big in the making
If you send the rocket in a direction while being pushed as tom you can dodge out of it so you don’t take a hit you can also jump shoot Jerry down so you take a chance at losing him. edit just seen you use the down Jerry lol but I also like using Jerry for kill confirm on the edge or using neutral air with the tennis racket
ur gonna realise how much of a high risk low reward char tnj is. he also has bad recovery, bad disadvantage, bad killing power and bad frame data all-together. the only good thing he has in 1s is his loop that hasnt been taken out for some reason.

You should probably use the projectiles more and the down special (only if you have the perk). You can also cancel the up special by dodging (jerry will still go in the direction you set them in) and by doing this the enemy is most likely going to try to jump over Jerry and that’s were you catch them with Tom. This is just my opinion though but other than this I see you being a god at Tom and Jerry😊
bro morty is just all about side airs and stun gun now, the whip doesn't work 90% of the times, the mud wall hitbox feels so bad, the grenades have to be aimed now since they split both ways and trust me it's not fun just spamming side airs and running away
Watching from your gameplay, i gotta give some advise from a real tnj main, USE JERRY'S CORKS. ong this is the most underrated tool that tnj have in their disposal, cuz if jerry is on the map everytime that you hit a melee atack , jerry will pop out a cork. it feels underwhelming but ITS NOT. if jerry is far away from you and is near an opponent, you can shoot it out three times to keep your opponent from killing jerry, and get some nice damage while making jerry stay alive. btw you can also get a pretty nasty, yet not 100% doable combo when you shot out jerry from a slingshot, then immediately shoot out 3 tennis balls to make jerry parry them and attack the opponent, shot out a rocket, hitting the opponet mid air, then either starting a jab chain, do a side air or just bounce the balls back at the opponent. man tnj are awesome.
Bro no way I was a Morty main from the day the game launched in alpha, and literally 3 hours ago, I switched to T&J just like you. Morty was so painful to play. I'm having so much more fun with T&J than with Morty.
Don't care how much they nerf my main I never drop them. I never truly understand how you can drop a character you're supposed to like just because they got nerfed. In this case he wasn't a top tier so I can believe your reasoning. I still think he takes skill because I can't play him for shit so I stick to T&J and Jason

They did Morty dirty fr. I never used him tho. Im a garnet main and she’s bad so I’ve been using iron giant and a little bit of Wonder Woman to make me feel better
But I’m telling you bro Rick didn’t change much after the update I’ve been maining him and he is extremely fun to play once you get his move set down he is nasty bro he has a lot better kill confirms then Tom and Jerry does and simply if you wanna stick the Rick and Morty gang at this point in the game Rick is just simply better then Morty after the recent update.
The killed Joker too. He dodges like 3 pixels now. So he can't get in on opponents, Has very few kill options, really only 2 and his card that is so rare you'll sometimes go a whole match without the card, Even if you shuffle a ton. Harley for example might as well just be immune to damage against him, Cause he cannot get out of her air combos at all.
Joker is still good u can do jab jab dash jump dair, jump dair into air side special or up tilt all true for like 45 dmg and u can still kill off the top at low percents 😂
@@VERIFLIED I tried Tom and Jerry but I had trouble approaching enemies. Finn’s better for that but he doesn’t have any projectiles. I’ll try Tom and Jerry again. I didn’t really try them out that much
I am won’t say I am the best t&j player but I will say that I am ok at them and letting you know you should usually throw tennis ball right after you throw Jerry with sling shot since when Jerry is hitting back the tennis ball he has a hit box and could lead to pretty ok damage I probably sound like a nerd rn but whatever
there is now way they really did this im so mad that hes so bad rn i maxed him and also bought the legendary skin now ive to main rick who also got nerfed fck mvs theyve to patch and buff morty next patch and this soon
Morty is fine I’m not gonna lie. I’ve played this game steady since beta. You want him to be spammy and annoying to play. You can stil combo an kill early with Morty.
sucks morty's not very good anymore (like he was anything special to begin with) but you made a respectable switch, tom and jerry is my favorite character in the game behind morty
i really hope they leave superman alone, ive tried to branch out to other characters and nobody on the cast has felt half as good or ive seen half as much success with as superman, even outright toptiers that you can faceroll and get wins with, superman is just my guy and if they nerf him too bad i may just have to quit till they buff him or release raven 😭😭 i do not envy the position of needing to jump ship, hopefully it goes well for you o7

Bugs is fine but now all his combos are composed of like 3 attacks cause the recovery time is so damn long. The only way for you to combo a little bit more is if you catch them mid knockback with something like a dash jab
With all due respect all yall morty “mains” do is spam gun and rock nothing special about him at all clearly a skill issue if you can’t use him anymore black Adam got a cool down on his loop and a move that is not even promised has like a 4-6 second cool down(floor up air)

Mud wall is a lot worse for other projectile characters especially LeBron and Marvin and grenade split is pretty much ruined which allowed for good setups before since it would come back to you with a hitbox
@@jabrilanderson0 it was forcing you not to rely only on that one option, moreover u can still destroy the projectiles with ur wall i believe and has it has no cooldown it doesn t seem that much of a problem. And about grenade, like for real the patch came yesterday, u did not even try to do new sets up with it, you (it is a general for morty mains) just assumed he is dead cuz the ytber said so. Like if the opponent walks in the split grenade u can detonate it, so they now either have to jump above, air dodge in, or not approach. All options that are punishable/good for mort
@@lukasfaucher move is slower, moves like ball become nearly unblockable with the mud, and don’t assume I “never even tried” setups because I did try to see if there was any but they aren’t any different than the grenades from down b, prepatch split provided much better and consistent setups that also would combo if an opponent was hit. There’s little threat with the new split as there isn’t an active hitbox on either of them and the explosion time is slow

This update suuuuucks. Why add free for all when they havent even fixed 2v2? Why nerf a character like morty that already takes skill to play? Why keep Iron Giant in the game? Olny thing they did right was nerf Black Adam and i dont even know how well they did that
