What I like about 13B is they use the same artillery pieces as I used back 1985. I'm still useful should the need be. My Army years served me well the rest of my life
@@rockets3315 and you get a free degree. There are hardly any homeless veterans. The benefits set you up nicely. I’m one semester from a bachelors with only 20k in debt. Which is a lot, but some kids got way more in college. I decided to forgo my last semester and I’m going 13 bravo. Shipping the 25th of may. I’m gonna transfer online and finish my bachelors and submit my officers packet after taking about 5 courses over the next two years. Luckily I’m enlisting E-3 so I hope to get up to E-5 by time Ill be submitting my packet. Then I’m gonna use my GI for a masters degree. The army and military in general sets you up. Regardless of MOS. It’s usually the dumb18 year olds who only do four years and don’t use their GI who flop. But even then , trade work or drive truck.
Damn, Sergeant Jones was not my platoon's instructor but we cycled with his platoon so he taught us a few days out in the motor pool. He was a great teacher and NCO. However, out during field week, his platoon somehow managed to break their M777, so they had to use ours. 5th Platoon Death Dealers.
My old job! This video gave me so many flashbacks. Yes, a person has to be physically and mentally to do this. In fact, math plays a big part in my job too, so if you are in high school or college the math you learn can help you go a long way...
You're probably watching this video because you're either in the recruiters office or just got home after choosing this MOS, I'm stationed in Fort Drum, NY. NGL this MOS socks ass.. lots of waiting around going to field doing BS, save yourself the stress and choose a different MOS
I wanted to enlist as a 19k but I'm partially red/green, so my Station commander put me in for 13b until I can take a test to be a 19k. The only thing I'm looking forward to in 13b is the M109 otherwise I'm expecting 4 long years till 19k. I'm 17 btw
@@strvy It's alright we're still low on people, wear your ear pro, Ft Carson sucks no matter what people say, can get boring real quick, a lot of people get out more than we get if that says anything
Honestly I am worried sick and super an anxious and nervous because I know that we have to do the physical high demands test and it involves a timed event of lifting 15 155mm shells and loading and unloading them within 15 mins and they weigh around 100lbs each. No matter how much I work out no matter what work outs I do I can’t help to feel like I’m just going to fail and look like an embarrassment back at my unit. I don’t know if I am just overly worrying and over thinking about it all? But people in my unit and even the females say that it was easy and that even with little prep one can pass and one even had a roommate that couldn’t do ten pushups and still passed so I just don’t know what to think
@Hammerschlägen M thanks for the little back up, i've heard of the 'negatives' but it's still a job i'm much interested in. I literally had majority of the jobs in the army available for me, but this is the one that truly reeled me in. I want to serve mainly to do my duty to country, especially with whats happening. few more months before i graduate HS, but nonetheless i'm ready.
Well me personally I don’t wear ear protection because I’m not at the Gun, my artillery piece is the Paladin (M109A7). I’m part of the CAT crew that resupplies the Gun and provides protection. Since I’m usually a fair distance away from the guns shooting I don’t really have to worry about damaging my ears
Good luck! My son goes June 13,2022. I pray for all of you gents!! This day in age joining the military is dangerous. If you get a chance to retake your ASVAB while in the military Do it.. .
@@stevenmajicmikeback and hip problems. Hearing problems. Constant smashed fingers and feet. ALOT of field time. Infantry constantly making you feel inadequate 😂
Guess what?! You can, it’s known that non-Americans can join the army and they’ll help you get citizenship as well. Service really does guarantee citizenship, or at least makes it easier. Sorta like how the French and Spanish foreign legions work.
I understand the desire to want to join the American military. After all they are the most well funded in the world. But if you are a Russian - born amongst a people who for centuries bled rivers of blood on the battlefield in the name of their Motherland - I think you would be doing your folk a great disservice by not serving the homeland, but instead serving that of a foreign country...
@@thekaiser6842 The Russian army is currently not combat ready. I served in the Russian army in 2015, mortarman. Currently service in the Russian army it's shameful. Even if I can’t join the U.S Army. Believe me, in case of war I will not help the Russian army. Our country, led by Putin, has fallen to the level of African third world countries. Hundreds of thousands of people dream of dumping from here to Europe, Australia or the USA It's not about the money and bonuses that the army provides to soldiers, but about the ideology and values that protect the US military. In freedom. The Russian army supported dictatorial regimes, and is fighting against any opposition. The United States, on the contrary, seeks to free people from tyranny
Ngl this looks cool but they didn't even mention how it helps you transition. You should think about that and go with a technical MOS, or at least one that gives you a Top Secret security clearance
