This is my video of me using for the first time my westermann moss brush.
Powered by a Honda gcvx170 engine. This brush can spin both ways which is really handy.
Ideally the moss needs to be killed prior to sweeping.
I show both the Stihl bga200 and Echo pb8010 blowing this wet moss. Easily easier with the echo of course.
At the end of the video I share my thoughts on the machine.

Nice job mate. This machine will make you a lot of cash. Ours is booked out for most of February next year. Spray before to kill then after and it will keep it in control longer. Although if you want more repeat work don’t spray it after 😂

A good honest review. A treatment straight after would be just as beneficial to kill off whats left and reducing the time it comes back.

Hey Greg Great video, I have been thinking about buying one of these for a while and this is the first video that I think shows the good and bad. It can be hard to get moss cleared from surfaces at the best of times. Good machine for in and around tight areas. Should help provide a good winter income in the future for you. Thanks for the video 🙂

I ended up hiring one with the intention of buying one if it did a good job, I booked in four driveways and in the end was that disappointed with it I didn't charge any clients for the work we did as I didn't think it did a great job.

Hi does it make a difference if used in dry weather vs wet? Imagine might be easier job cleaning up in dry but maybe it would be looser and easier to remove in wet? Any help welcome

I have never killed moss off first, hard surfaces always after using either hypo or BAC 50 biocide. Time will tell what you need to charge to allow for replacing the brush head. Thanks for sharing 😊

How much did you charge for that? Is it a money spinner?

Some amount. No it’s a useless tool. Good on some surfaces but not ideal. Think the issue is the tines are too horizontal.

I used it a few times first part of this year. Quite physical to use and doesn’t give the best results. Some of the promotional work for it makes it seem perfect. Im yet to see that. Have asked for help on setting it up but no help. Have sold half of it to a mate that will use it more so he can use it and master it then I can borrow as and when. So no rental fees. Major design floor was it had regular tyres with inner tube. I got a puncture and getting wheels off was a right old pain. For a new machine not much grease was used. Had to install new axle and solid tyres. So not overall not hugely impressed.
