Thank you so much for the thorough review! I'm going to the range with it tomorrow I had to build my confidence up. I saw a few individuals stated mini shells will give minimal recoil. I'm just going to use what I have. Thanks for showing the stance I should take because I watched a woman and she had it low.( I'm a woman)I value your approach. Once again many thanks!
I felt the same way watching this. Just a wealth of information. Can't wait to try mine out...I get it on Friday. I saved his video on storing this and also dry firing. Really great stuff. I want to adopt him! lol
I really enjoy your videos. They are very informative. Your instructions on how to fire this firearm is was very helpful. Thank you for your expertise. Thank you again.
I sure hope "the shop" appreciates you Allen because you sure could have made a nice career out of doing this sort of presentation / tutorial full-time! Each video of yours that I watch gives me more perspective. I will visit the website - makes me wish I lived in your state! (Because I'm SURE, you cannot ship to BC Canada... eh?)
Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch in Oregon, does a great video on how to shoot this weapon. Highly recommend watching it If you own one, or are thinking bout owning one. These make great breaching tools. Thanks for the content!
I put a rail on mine with a Seeall sight. I have had no issue aiming it and shooting over 60 slugs accurately. Not fast at follow up shots, but I was surprised how easy it is to aim and shoot as long as, like yuo said, extend it out away from your face and you'll be fine. Nice video
I changed the plastic safety switch with a higher metal one and I heavily stippled the hand grip. If your hands gets wet with water or blood ,it would make it a problem to use. This gun would be a good candidate with waxed skeet loads .
I bought one a few years ago... best home defense weapon I own for quick axcess and maneuverability... four or five loads in the magazine... one rack and ready to rock and reload if necessary..!
Nice review. The Opsol Flex adapter and minishells really make this manageable for recoil sensitive people. Add a tactical brace...even more manageable and accurate.
A shotgun is really best used as a 3 point weapon. The trigger hand, support hand, and fore end hand. The stock provide support and bracing to allow control for follow up shots. Shooting with two hands is robust and hard to get follow up shots. And you certainly shouldn't try holding it to your face to aim and shoot. I get the idea of a super short shotgun. I'd rather have the Remington steel folding stock 870. The stock folds up and over the receiver and can be unfolded and locked with a quick turn and flip to unfold the stock and locked into position. A few practice turns and a drop of oil will the trick. An as whether the difference a 14 inch barrel is better than an 18 inch barrel, only your wife or GF will tell if 4 extra inches will matter.
Great video. Currently trying to decide between the 12ga and 20ga...i know 12ga has the mini shells as an option for less recoil but price is a bit higher for those. Also, more variety of shells for 12ga. Any thoughts?
12g here and I run 3" slugs I have the mini shells for coyotes and stuff and there a blast to shoot!!! I carry mine with me everywhere I go! Come over and check it out!
Unless you’re a real man that enjoys shooting a hand cannon pick the 20 gauge. I have a 12 but the wife wouldn’t be able use it in an emergency. Something to take into consideration.
@@frankpienkosky5688 you’re right. That’s a great feature with the mossberg shockwave. My choice was the Remington Tac14, unfortunately it won’t cycle the mini shells. So for me they’re not an option. Since I already had a Remington 870, I didn’t want to switch to a different manual of arms with the shockwave.
I want to check something. If you put a straight down grip that has some small extrention to make it longer, keeping the same length!, & not a shoulder stock! Is that legal??
It won't work on this particular firearm in the video, but if you'll check Mossberg's website, I believe they came out with a magazine version of this recently.
So what I got from this was that federales can no knock me for carrying this in Texas to and from my car? I live in apartments, I don’t want anyone to see it, so I’ll sling it and wear a coat over, I’m sure that means concealing.
Great video brother, just subdued and I love my shockwave! However what I don't like about it is the ergonomics. I bought a armbrase and a black aces full tail. This rail is amazing! However their customer service is terrible! I lost a screw and emailed them several times and no response! Luckily my gun store had my back so fuck black aces! If you ever need a gun store that has your back call TJs gun sales in Mcminnville Oregun!
