Welcome to a visit with the Mossberg Model 352KB, a semi-automatic .22 caliber rifle that can fire short, long, or long rifle cartridges IF the magic adjustable magazine it was supplied with is still present as they are very elusive and hard to find intact. Made somewhere between 1961 and 1966 it fits into the Mossberg family well as an 18.5 inch barreled carbine with a foldable monopod stock. Mossberg to most people these days means shotgun but back in the day they cut their teeth with rimfire rifles and had a whole stable of them that were constantly upgraded from year to year with various improvements, upgrades, or simply random sight or outfitting changes. For this reason I love to collect them and study the different offerings through the years.
One interesting note I forgot to mention in the video, it has the Mossberg Acro Gruv barrel with no Acro-Gruv roll stamp on the barrel......either an oversight or the end of marking the guns as such.
Check here for Mossbergs bolt action version of this rifle…..

In this video I accidentally called the .22 Magnum rifle that I mention the 340T, it is actually the New Haven Model 740T. Sorry for the confusion.
I have a love affair with these Mossberg 22's.....they are often found for a bargain price but at the same time offer a lot for the money. Accurate and well built is usually not synonymous with cheap but Mossberg definitely pulls this off.
Check out my videos for several Mossberg .22 rifles that are featured in depth!
Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned.

Short or long always a treat. A lot of the firearms you present are new to me as well as the old favourites I know and love and I always learn something. It's time well spent and I appreciate the effort you put in. Thank you.

Very kind. Nice to know there are those who "get it".

I own a 152 my dad bought between WW2 and Korea. Would love to know more of the history of that model. Mine has the wood fold down fore end, and the rear peep sight Have never had any luck finding original mags, but still have the one original. Thanks for keeping these excellent .22s alive!

Those were made from 1948 to 1957 then became the Model 352 in 1957

Your channel was recommended by Cranky Gun Reviews after watching a couple videos I subscribed because I love the vintage wood and steel rifles and revolvers I still own and shoot my first gun which I purchased with my paper route money at 12 years old in 1972 with the help of my dad a Mossberg 402A Palimino 22 lr lever action rifle

I appreciate that! Just a couple of loose ends to tie up before taking on the next challenge. Been through a ton of Mossberg .22 rifle history that’s all there for the watching! Just an update to fold the 352KB into the stable. Funny, most guntube videos are less than 10 minutes long. Even my “short” ones are considered long!

Mossberg made some very interesting 22 LR rifles, e.g. with swing-away receiver sights, the 144 model that the military purchased, etc. I owned a 144LS (reasonable economy target model), a 342 bolt action, and a 352K semiauto with the non-adjustable magazine (R498). The semiauto began to have feeding problems which became intractable, no matter how I tried to "adjust" the magazine, and I eventually traded it in for a tubular feed rifle of a different make, so its not just the adjustable mags that were problematic.

I notice some balkiness from the 300 series autoloaders....the earlier 50's examples seemed to work a little better. Strangely, the New Haven 250CA which is basically a no frills version of a 352 shoots flawless and super accurate.....the BEST of all the Mossbergs 22's I have. Amazing, huh?

Awesome, thank you! I had a few examples that were tying up loose ends but the next one, which was going to be a quick overview as well, looks like it's turning into a mini series! Just had a few events transpire during my research that is turning it into a full length!

Same to you Shep my friend. We uploaded another Mossberg .22 video for the 4th! Saw your 9422 video.....nice! Can't tell you how many times I came a hair away from picking one of those up but there always seems to be a reason to pass.....something in the way, whatever it is. Actually had a "Trapper" version in the bag when for some reason the seller, who was at a gun show, was unable to complete the sale for some reason or another.....some kind of discrepancy with the people running the show regarding something he was selling....don't really remember. They wouldn't let us complete the sale there (BGC) and he never got back to me afterwards to find an FFL for transfer/purchase. There are several instances that fell through....it's an omen for me. Same with the Browning Trombone .22. Be well.

@@MilsurpGarage I picked up the 9422 a couple years ago. Local shop had it on consignment for a reasonable price. Wanted one of these back in the 70s when my brother-in-law picked one up. But I was just out of high school and poor, so I settled for a Ruger 10/22 instead.

I had theta bolt action,I really didn’t like how far forward the bolt handle was , to long of reach , especially in cold weather!
