Chad, the pride you have in your son comes through here. The bond you share with Austin is awesome and I can only pray that my daughter and I have that relationship when she gets older. Setting her up for kayak fishing at 5 helps.
Austin has his priorities inline. Ramen = new combo 😂 I wish I would’ve had kayak fishing when I was your age. I got into it later in life. If you love what you do you never work a day in your life.
Wow Austin very impressive tournament setup, this kayak is definitely battle ready! Now when are you going to start your own channel so we can continue watching your tournament journey? Tight lines take care and God bless! Yes sir go west young man you are definitely heading to bigger places in the bass community!
@@ChadHooverFishing yes sir he’s an amazing young man and is showing great confidence in becoming an awesome future angler himself you must be so proud of his growth in the bass world!
Awesome video and great walk through. I can see this yak cost you one big ass smile when you landed that double-d PB! PS. Facts, on the oatmeal cream pie being a power up / force multiplier :)
33:56 I think it was the fallowing day after I saw that video was when I went and picked up grid lock rails for my black pack. I thought I don’t want to chase or dive for my gear little lone loose gear. Im also more conscious of always latching the lid as soon as I as Ive grabbed what ever out of it even if I know Im going to get right back into it.
Awesome dream set up. My only question is how much does that all weigh fully loaded with you fishing out of it? Can you add more? Or is it close to the kayaks weight capacity?
Since I carry all the extra rods, batteries, and tackle. I’m pretty close to listed weight capacity. Going to work on getting an industrial scale to get y’all an exact number.
I sent them the idea to for the trac pack when I bought an Unlimited and within a week of having it I knew I needed a parallel storage box I asked them to make it waterproof so they put their twist on my idea but it was cool when it came out except they didn’t even send me one lol 😂
Not taking anything from your idea. But I also gave it to Luther at YakAttack in 2009 when we affectionately named them TackleBlox and it didn’t come to fruition until all these years later. 😜
No it does not get in the way, I land every fish I catch on the opposite side of the rod stagers. If you wanted to land a fish on both sides of your kayak you could flip the rod stagers to where the rod tips are facing backwards and have the butt section stop before getting into your landing area.
That’s a really awesome rig. I have a frontier 12 and with around 100 plus extra pounds of gear I know I can right the boat if I flip it. But I’m also 6’6” 280lbs. Are you able to flip that boat back over if it tips?
@@austinhoover6262 I been using mine since last year, they still cut braid like new ones. Also,a lot sissors will only have one serrated blade but kastking are always double serrated.
I have a quick question: the mount for the Xi3 appeared to have what looked like a slot for a front handle....Is that the Bonafide mounting bracket and if so do you think that mounting kit would fit on a U10?
I'm kinda ashamed to say this but if I could sell my fully rigged 106mk for enough to get that and give me a good jump on an nk motor I would. This kayak is sweet.
@@ChadHooverFishing just looked up the article again. It was 12 pound 3 Oz. What I didn't notice before it was a world record but it was for the line class. Apparently it was caught on 12 pound line.
