Iya banyak banget. Indonesia cuma bagus di thempat tempat natural. Di kotanya malah jelek & semrawut kecuali surabaya udah mulai bagus kayak diluar negri
tips from local : 1. dont come in raining seasong, erosion/avalanche ahead. 2. use waterproof bag to protect your precious items. 3. dont use slippery sandals, prefer to use hike shoes or mountain shoes. 4. dont forget to bring some food and fresh water. 5. dont come in peak holiday season (mudik lebaran, christmas, etc) 6. dont come in weekend (saturday & sunday), will had lots of local people who also come. 7. take nothing but picture, leave nothing but memories
a buddy and i are going there for a couple days at the start then meeting up with a friend who is working there for the pas year. we plan on going back to Yogyakarta for a bit on our way back to Jakarta. for a kid who has never even seen a ocean, im fucking excited.

Indonesia have 1000 and more islands and 300 different local language. Lot of beautiful beach, food waves...that many tourist do not know . Ha..ha..ha....
Hope you explore Indonesia further. Try Sulawesi island : Sombori and Labengki islands, Toraja, Togean islands, Wakatobi, Pulo Cinta. Maluku province : Kei islands, Banda islands, Morotai islands. West Papua province : Raja Ampat, Triton Bay. Also if you head to Flores island again, visit the island next to it : Sumba island! In Java Mt.Bromo, Madakaripura waterfall, and Ijen is a must. In Kalimantan : Derawan islands, and Tanjung Puting National Park.
Bali itu sebenernya alamnya biasa aja. Untuk casual tourism cocok lah. Kalau mau ketemu yang epic ya mesti keliling Indonesia seperti Tumpak Sewu, Bromo, Toba, Morotai, taman nasional Komodo, Raja Ampat, Dieng dll.
Saya seneng tempat tempat yabg tersembunyi seperti ini .. Kalo ketemu orang pasti petualang sejati .. coba kalo udah mudah dijangkau .. ketemunya anak anak alay pacaran yang kerjaannya nyampah ..
I'm AWwww struck, this place makes me cry its SOooooo beautiful! I'm now telling my 21 yr old son he should travel, and see the world. So i'm going to tell him to watch ur vlogs christian, and decide for himself!! much, much, love you're way :)
Wise father. I always respect a person like you. Tell to your son there is an islands in far eastern of Indonesia. The place of the most beautiful tropical beaches in the world.
How cool it is, u released this video just after Java was named as the Best island of 2018 in travel n leisure magazine 👌, it beats big names like Maldives, Palawan, Galapagos etc.
It must feel amazing when you meet fellow travellers/vloggers that tell you they were inspired to get out of the 9-5 lifestyle because of you. I aspire to be in that position one day. Keep on living.
Christian, you don't know who we are, but we have been watching your videos for a couple of years now. We have a small RU-vid channel where we post our travel videos. We are nowhere close to having your artistic talent and we only use our iPhones, which limits the cinematography of what we can do (not that we would know what to do with a sophisticated camera anyway 🙂🙂🙂). But we have been studying your videos and following the advice you gave in your various tutorial videos and have slowly improved over time. Yesterday, we had our first video reach 100,000 views. You have no idea what this milestone means for small RU-vidrs like us. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️❤️❤️ for all your advice. Your easy tips have helped us make our videos better and we went from completely amateurish to somewhat intermediate, which has been enough to lift some of our latest videos. We are so glad that people like you post tips on RU-vid for free (although we usually watch the commercials before and during your videos, haha). You are such an inspiration to other travellers and you provide great help to small travelling channels like ours. Please keep making your videos. And you're hot too, which doesn't hurt 😘😘😘.
I'm Javanese but living in Singapore, btw I miss Indonesia so much, hope to traveling soon this December break, back to my hometown. May I know where is this place? Which part of Java?
it looks incredible! Reminds me of the huge watefall i visited in Langkawi, Malaysia. I remember how i felt when i saw it - it's like the true power of mother nature and you realize how powerful nature is.
Incredible how your videos have evolved over the years - you've grown so much in your film style content. Representing Vancouver PNW life around the globe and killing it! Thank you for the inspiration you've provided us all these years, Christian!
I absolutely truly admire your videos Christian!!! You are so inspiring and I really like your cinematics. Would love to see you in real life someday...
We've always said its great to stay in one place longer and get to know it on a deeper level... travel is awesome, but what can you really learn about a place in a week? We've been in Cape Town for 2 years now and only now are we starting to look at the next place to start exploring... epic video though!! look forward to surfing that side again... Java for next 2 years? hmmmm you make it look like an option
Thankyou for keep exploring my country Indonesia. Thankyou for Spread the love and how beautiful Indonesia, bring it into the world.. much respect & love!
Indonesia has a lot, I means tremendously a lot in terms of wilderness and beautiful natural spot. Amazing how you as foreign can find this majestic place while many locals are still faded about tourist destination and activity in their own land. I hope we can cooperate in the future to explore more about natural beauty of Indonesia. From the sea, to the beach, from lake to river, from mountain to volcanoes and canyon. I really want ask foreigners to come to Indonesia and enjoy thousand of hidden paradise. Good job on the video.

Incredible Christian! Just uploaded my travel film from the Philippines... You were one of many reasons I chose to visit it in the first place. Thank you!!
in Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. there are also waterfalls like that and higher, but where access is still difficult and you can ask local people to guide
thank you for visiting Indonesia, there are so many beautiful place you must to go in Indonesia. in every island, there're always many hidden place... but of course, to find out them you have an effort more.
@Anna....budaya di luar Bali itu kaya juga. Ane jamin deh....hanya di Jawa Tengah dan Jogja saja budayanya lebih beragam dibanding Bali...dari budaya Banyumasan sampai Solo/Jogja
I loved everything about this vlog Christian! from the struggles of climbing the falls to your cinematic aerial shots! I lowkey got emotional with that majestic music playing in the background... man I wanna go back to Bali but explore Java
Oh my God... this vlog is exceeding my expectations of your visualization of Java. I can't wait for another Java series, Mt Ijen and Blue Flame. Saw it on your instagram and waiting for it uploaded. Great video Christian.
At now Java Forest opened for tourism activities by Forest Department of Indonesia and we can visit more than 1000 water falls at there/ Java. It was different situation for 20 years ago, we did not see beautiful scenes cause all forest so closed area for tourism.
I'm a Javanese but I salute people who go all the way to explore Java. I always find an excuse whenever my friends ask me to do hiking or such things so I dont really have much time to explore. Only when I go to my grandparents house maybe I willing to do physical things lol
Try your visit to Lampung province. There are many waterfalls, beautiful beaches, amazing snorkeling, and elephant parks (Waykambas National Park) ... all that will make you very happy .. i swear
That waterfall is in Java. Recommended to go to Jakarta first, then Yogyakarta, Bromo, Ijen then this waterfall. Then you can go to Bali, Lombok, venture further east to Komodo Island national park. Jason Billam's channel from UK should be a good guide in Java for this route.
great great video christian - your journey should continue to Bromo Mountain also on East Java - just flew from denpasar to malang ..."wonderful indonesia"
Woow yes ...tumpak sewu not so far from my home .....next You have to Try visit madakaripura waterfall ...u will feel like in the well .... amazing too
No wonder Travel + Leisure awarded Java Island as the best island in the entire world along with Bali and Lombok came up in #2 and #3 this year..indeed feels like in the Jurassic Park
Thank you for every word you said about our treasure, you said it wih full of apreciation. And trust me, you can find more. You have no idea what you can find at borneo island. Have you heard about Derawan islands? You can find big lake fill with a lot of unsting jellyfish that you can touch, you can also swim with sharkwhale there, and see beautifull coral garden with amazing beach. Derawan islands is travelling spot at south borneo province, berau district. So if you wanna go there, you can go to balikpapan city first at south borneo, from there you will take another flight with small plane to berau. Hope you someday can make time for it.
