The first two guys are why it's impossible for collectors to find good deals in the wild these days. They sit on Facebook and Craigslist 24/7 taking all of the good deals only to resell.
Am I the only person who is going to comment on the way he handled that "super rare" stuff. He straight up just dropped the PC engine duo and was just not even caring how he was handling anything. For someone who owns a game store and is a collector he sure doesn't seem like he cares about the stuff.
he always does this, he put dozens of n64 games on concrete and slid them around. This isn't the first time he has stacked stuff on top of games either. He does this stuff all the time. He could care less about them when he is likely to sell them. I doubt he even cares how he handles his own games honestly.
@@krashvote7947 that's pretty sad. You would think as a collector he would be more careful and as a store owner putting his videos out there on RU-vid he would care about how he presents himself. Not a good look. I wouldn't buy anything from him. I work with electronics and there's a term we use called 'System Shock'. It's when you hit, bang, drop or give an electronic device a good enough jostle that it damages it and will usually work when you first turn it on but in a few weeks, a few months it'll stop working. Very sad to see these rare things being handled without care🤦😢
you can find tons of videos of him stacking heavy stuff on games, even cardboard boxes. He doesn't seem to really care as this isn't the first time he was called out for it. Someone should stand on the roof of his car.
Im glad im not the only one that cought on to how he was handling those games you say there expensive yet you throw them around like some random yard sale
Gotta be careful with those early Neo Geo soft box games. The plastic inner trays are notoriously easy to crack, so you don't want to handle them roughly or stack too much weight on them.
Never liked how Rick handles games. Stacking systems on game boxes, slamming carts into systems and putting systems on counter edges is just a small part of how he handles them. Let's not forget all the n64 boxes on concrete and sliding them around. Cant imagine I'd be able to get mint after his mitts are on them. This is his true self as he knows and has been called out for it before. He just doesn't care about them.
You don't have to be a collector to see rare gaming consoles. As a gamer myself, I had that exact console and some games passed down to me from a family member who bought it brand new. Unfortunately, I did sell it awhile back and I totally regret it because I doubt, I will never come across to one.
Neo Geo is one of the most respected and sought after consoles for video game collectors, how come most of them have never heard of it? Unless you didn’t follow video games or were too young back in the day, everyone had at least heard about it. Or is it like that only in the US?
It's because a lot of these people are getting into collecting at later ages and didn't necessarily grow up gaming. That being said I'm 34 and I guess I been playing games early as 3 years old. Did I know neo geo was a thing as a kid 100%. Did I ever see one for sale in a store ... Never
@@RyRy69420 I remember an EB had it for sale in my city back in the early 90's. It was a very rare sight though. At $700 for the console and then $200 for each game (back THEN too!), it was absolutely ridiculous. I can say that I was fortunate to get a brand new TurboExpress in 1991 (which I still have) with some money that my grandmother gave me. No one had those either.
I hope that dude got a good deal for trading Xenosaga 3, they posted the price of the strategy guide instead of the actual game price, otherwise they finessed him hard with everything else too, they probably didn't, maybe the video editor didn't notice
Yes. He does what not sales allllll the time for alower moving products. I live 1 mile from the store. I should post some footage every once in a while 🤔
Where did they get that Billy Hatcher? No lie I picked up a Billie Hatcher case with Sonic Mega Collection in it and they brought in the opposite. That's wild. Got mine at Savers in Fort Smith.
@@starboy5177they bring him everything so he gives them 60% instead of 50%. If you only bring him junk your not getting 60%, so you lose a little on Neo Geo, but make money on everything else, so it evens out. You can’t just bring him all your $2 games and expect to sell them, but bring him good stuff he will take the $2 games also.
They don’t but he needs to tho , I guess they too busy with in store stuf they don’t have time to set up a online store for the store. They could b bigger than DK Oldies
I'd love to see somebody walk in with a Philips CD-i. Pretty sure nobody owns one of those anymore, because very few people bought one when they came out. I know I didn't, and I even own a Panasonic 3DO FZ-1 that still works!
I had one for a bit. Bought an untested unit for like $40 years ago. It worked fine. Flipped it after I got bored with it. Kinda wish I still had it but honestly the library was pretty poor.
@@drunkensailor112 I actually just found one on a Dutch gaming site that I decided to go ahead and import. Seems the CDi was most popular there as you say
whoa wait why you posting up Xenosaga 3 at $80, that is like a $200+ game easy, I think you looked up the strategy guide by mistake. Edit: reason you are seeing Paper Mario Thousand Year Door might be because it's being dumped before the Switch rerelease comes out next year.
I know it's out of nowhere but it's awesome to see someone you've been watching for a long time kinda get the dream they want it's very motivational he's a good dude and what a cool store what a great opportunity all around awesome.
Online store would ruin everything for the people that actually go to the store. Imagine going to the store and "oh sorry it all got bought out by someone online half way across the US" "sorry it sold out before you even stepped foot into the store"
Usually more money in online sales too. I mean he can always do both. Like if an item stays on the floor too long. Putting it online will expose it to a larger market
So i skimmed through with no volume but i didn't see any system that most collectors have never seen. What was the system that was Never Seen suppossedly. All those systems i seen you can find if you look for them.
You guys act like Neo-Geo is anything to blink an eye at. Everyone I know has a Neo Geo from back in the days. I have tons of Geo games in carts and MCV's. Not that rare...
