High Protein Honey Lemon Chicken Meal Prep!🍯🍋🍗
There’s no reason to eat plain chicken & rice when you can make this incredibly easy and delicious recipe. One of my favourite meal preps!
Macros per serving (4 servings total)
415 calories - 40g protein | 44g carbs | 8g fat
Ingredients (for 4 servings)
For the Chicken
700g Cubed Raw Chicken Breast
20ml Light & Dark Soy Sauce (Low Sodium)
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 Lemon Juiced
2 tsp Olive Oil for cooking
10-15g Honey
For the Rice
480g Cooked Basmati Rice (120g per serve)
1 Red Onion finely sliced
1 Red Bell Pepper chopped
15ml Dark Soy Sauce
10g Honey
1/2 Lemon Juice
Garnish Green Onion
Distribute into 4 equal servings & ENJOY!

Important Notes
When adding the honey to the chicken make sure the heat is turned off. You don’t want the honey to burn.
You can store the meal preps for up to 5 days and freeze for months. Reheat in a microwave or on a pan
You can marinate the chicken for 30 mins or overnight for best flavour

i made this and it looked like roadkill. here’s what went wrong: 1- the amount of honey you should put in is farrrrr beyond the amount shown in the recipe 2- make sure the rice is cold, if it’s freshly cooked it’s going to get soggy and mushy 3- make sure no rendered chicken fat gets in the rice. it’ll literally ruin the entire dish. i forgot i had some at the bottom of my bowl and the entire thing looks grey and tastes like bland chicken now because i dumped it in. 4- cooking the chicken golden brown after adding garlic powder will burn the garlic, cooking it on low heat will make it unbearably dull: don’t marinate it with garlic powder and just dissolve the garlic powder into the soy sauce used on the rice later. gives the garlic flavor without it being burnt. i got off a long day at school, spent 3 hours making this, just for these tiny mistakes to make it hardly edible. don’t do what i did.

Honey chicken I've been on that but I got Lil twist to it poke holes the marinade for at least 10 minutes than also there fried rice seasoning bake first drain off water give some body water sprinkle fried rice seasoning on it don't stir just use water from pan sprinkle over chicken give a good glaze cook chicken than pour water out seasoning fried rice seasoning next.but keep some juice pour over rice after it cook more save the juice that's why you cook chicken good before adding cause the juice won't be fat bad for arteries.some like fat but I've learn no fat it really bad especially this fried rice recipe. The end read carefully to do.🕵️

It is, made it today. The portions listed in description came out to roughly 1572 calories, but I didn't weigh/count the peppers, onions, or green onions since they're minimal. Everything else I included 1572 / 4 servings is like 393 calories. With the vegetables counted it's still well under 500 per serving.

My calories were 1572, divided by 4 servings makes 393. The only thing I didn't count/weigh was the onion, bell pepper, and green onion. Probably brings each serving up to around 400. Your math doesn't add up.

Just the rice and chicken add up to over 1600 calories. This is without adding in the cooking oil or honey. 7 * 160 for chicken, 4.8 * 135 for rice. That's why I was wondering about the calorie values you used on each ingredient.

@@kwwx345 So I'll tell you my measurements if it helps. 700g raw boneless skinless chicken breast 840 calories 480g Basmati Rice !!cooked!! is 552 calories 2.5 tbsp standard soy sauce 25 calories 2 tspn olive oil about 79 calories 25g honey is 76 calories 840 + 552 + 25 + 79 + 76 = 1572 / 4 = 393 calories PER serving. Accounting for vegetables maybe 410.

@@kwwx345 oh wait I figured it out. You're using cooked calories for chicken instead of raw chicken. In the video it reads 700 grams and it's clearly raw. My macros reflect this too. Raw chicken breast is around 120 calories per 100g.
