MOST DISGUSTING BLEACH CHARACTER: Pepe’s Power of Love Explained

MrTommo said something along the lines of "Kubo could've made Sternritter L as an attractive female character as the embodiment of love, but he instead made Sternritter L as a morbidly obese love guru, which gives the impression of corrupted love"

Imagine being so gross that your boss literally gave you an L as your defining ability

Mayuri was truly the MVP of this arc.

Byakuya gets to fight the puppeteers in every arc. In Hueco Mundo it's Zommari (directly takes control of objects with his power, but it's pretty limited), Tsukishima (inserts himself into the minds of others and becomes their best friend/lover/family member) and now Pepe (pretty much has Zommari's ability on overdrive with no limitations). Afterwards, he joins forces with Kenpachi and a few others, and fights the biggest mf the enemy has to offer (Yammy#0 and The Miracle).

I find the sheer contrast between how One Piece and Bleach depicted their "Love themed character", absolutely hilarious. Still, the fact that Mayuri ensured that we were not forced to see Pepe’s full power, is further proof that he is the undisputed MVP of the TYBW arc, haha!

I honestly love how transparently disgusting Pepe is in every way, up to his Völlständig. It made him more memorable, and such transparently evil minibosses are nice.

A truly terrifying ability that belongs to a truly repulsive Quincy. Everything about it and him was just wrong. Good thing we didn't see the potential of the Love, even with the Captains and their powerups/skills things certainly would've gotten dicey with their Zanpakutos turning on them.

Pepe and Zommari's abilities are somewhat alike.

I just love how Kubo makes a Disturbing characters for each group he makes in his series: Reapers - Mayuri Arrancar - Szayelapporo Fullbringers - Tsukishima Quincy - Pepe

His ability reminds me of Zommari's amor (amor means love in spanish). Basically they control people using a power they call love.

Some things to consider: The first person with a power related to love was Zommari Le Roux. His Brujería (Witchcraft) had the power of "amor" (love). By looking at something, that something would be controlled by him and obey every command, be it a complete individual or just part of it depending on where his mark landed. His power was more focalized. Also, his zampakuto liberation was extremely gross too. A flesh-like pumpkin full of eyes. A depiction of love just as abhorrent as the Stenritter's. Both of them became gross to look upon. Both of them had a high level of arrogance, and a power that robbed others of their original will, disguised under the word love and everything it entails. Another thing to notice is that both characters are dark skinned. I don't think this has a racist reason (as some assume), but is probably based on the Japanese perception of many dark-skinned people as mysterious, confident, and skillful in the field of love.

I would prefer Giselle's schrift, forced love and making a person obsessed with you is a very disturbing topic to me

9:00 I find it funny that evil cupid knows the kinds of loves, but it was under the influence of the least of the loves, which is called lust. It was it's lust that prevented it from achieving anything substantial. Lust makes one impatient, which is why it failed.

I bought a epiphone les Paul custom it was used and cheap but I loved how it felt and I gravitated to it. I then tired other's ones and even a Gibson les Paul and it wasn't wasn't same. My best guess is that "The Love" doesn't work on non-sapient/non-sentient objects; the Zanpakuto, however, are self-aware, and capable of thinking for themselves. And I'd rather be one of Giselle's zombies for a couple of reasons, though most are probably best kept to myself. Pepe is apparently inpsired...very loosely...by Cupid. Fittingly, anyone affected by the "arrows," let's just call them, gets put under a spell, and "falls in love". People do illogical things when they're affected by such forces. Forgive me for this, but Rule 34 exists, and there's no doubt Pepe has fans (by their own choosing). If not for how he used his powers, he might have more people who actually liked him...but yeah, no, thanks.

Kubo is genius for creating a character that is so disgusting that he has the shrift that forces people to love him. Unlike Mitsuri from Demon Slayer who is beautiful, attractive and pure hearted, Pepe is one ugly motherfucker.

I find Pepe's design super interesting, I was a little disappointed to see that they didn't develop him much more in the anime cause I was waiting for his appearance. Although it may seem unpleasant, his design is much more interesting than other Quincys that last longer on camera.

Kubo made it his mission to make the most disgusting characters for the Quincys first we have this guy and the other sick freak is Giselle at least with pepe he got killed but Giselle is still alive and well and it infuriates me to no end The Quincys are the worst written characters in bleach they are all shallow and empty with no backstories and all of them being nothing more blood thirsty Monsters that don't care about their fellow Quincys and having pepe and that sick freak Giselle who raped Bambietta didn't help it was like kubo was desperately trying to make us readers hate the Quincys that's why I hate the TYBW the writing is terrible not to mention the plot Armour the soul reapers have is just bad writing and lazy
