@@Narutimate2Accel shinji's bankai can affect anyone who is below or on the same level as shinsui ( said by shinsui himself) , that means he can actually take down sternritters who are below and on the same level as shinsui so it won't be suprising if he manages to take beat many sternritters

Man I really dislike the new art design. Everything is so damn dark, the contrast and lighting is waaaay too exaggerated and everyone looks like they’re slathered in baby oil. The Kenpachi vs unohana fight felt like all the lights were turned off and increased shadows/darkness 10 fold

It just looks like Akudama drive. Literally. Which is a seasonal series that Pierrot did. And one of Borutos openings looks just like that as well. Bleach isn’t the first or only thing to look like that by Pierrot

@@Ayop32 yes he did probably only characters like Ichigo Aizen and Yhwach wouln´t be affected by it since they have much more reatsui and there´s a chance they can break out of it cause of that just like Aizen blocked Soi Fon shikai and Kenny Ichigo´s atack, but this is just me thinking, maybe it does work vs everyone

The problem with Shinji's bankai is that it doesnt differentiate from his allies and enemies. Thats why he could only use it on instances where there is no ally in sight.

even after his bankai was revealed? dude it was 1 day ago, his bankai was never shown in manga before

While not my favorite I do think he’s very underrated

Both Bankai requires their comrades to GTFO of their reatsui range to not get affected, thus banned in Seiretei for a good reason. This makes me think thou... if they are getting stronger as time goes by, would it get to a point where the AoE is just too big to use in any battle? Because surely there will be some poor fellow who got caught up within the range, and then they would have to stop using it at all.

Not truly although their skills get better as the time goes by their Reishi doesn't increase that much not everyone is a monster like ichigo it would take probably 2000- 5000 years to get to that point only people that have lived even close to that time are yamamoto, unohana, kempachi , and maybe the squad 0 so it's not possible in my opinion

@kratiksolanki9894 here's my thing other the 3 you named who are the oldest without question. I actually shinji and shunsui are along those people that have over 1000 years. At least i would just because one was trained by yamamoto and the other was a captain over 100 years ago. So, can we confirm how long either has been in soul society?

@@Sleazetheguy I can say for sure they are atleast born after the soul society was completely settled just by Yamamoto's look when we see him with young shunsui and ukitake and ahunsui is even younger than that and when it comes sto captain as we have seen that depends on the availability of position and willingness rather than their ability

So true lol but I got to give shinji credit he had the balls to actually try that on aizen who has kyoka suigetsu which is much stronger than shinji technique didn’t take him long to figure it out. As for retsu so basically what happened was through out the entire anime we always knew something was going on with her she always had this creepy vibe to her yes she’s usually motherly but you piss her off that scary side would come out and I always wondered what her deal was?? Well now we know why she the first kenpachi she was keeping a secret this entire time even during aizens war she was waiting to bring it out for kenpachi I see what you’re saying though

Unohana knew Zaraki will have a bigger impact on the war than her using her own power. So in order for Zaraki to get stronger and achieve bankai, she did what she had to do.

Broken, but even more effective. I don't think any other series can do the same level of brokenness and effectiveness for powers.

I believe the implication is meant to be that they're countering his shikai by removing their reliance on the senses that he's inverting (their vision primarily) and instead relying on their other senses that (they think) he can't mess with. Instead, they use their Soul Sense (which is apparently just a 6th sense that spiritual beings in Bleach have which even Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu can't fool) to locate specifically where Shinji is and their HEARING to echo-locate their surroundings and each other so they can fight him properly even without sight. It ends up *half* working because it turns out Shinji can also invert your hearing so their echo-location doesn't work, but he *really can't* mess with your soul sense so they still know where specifically *he* is in relation to them, so when they start just piling up numbers in his general direction, he eventually starts losing due to sheer attrition. That's when he resorts to Bankai, because otherwise he'd eventually just lose to some stray lucky hit on their part.

I feel like its another manner of pride as a Soul Reaper. They were using Hollow masks non-stop when they were exiled, but it seems like their positions in the Soul Society is why they feel like they shouldnt rely on it anymore. Thats just my thoughts on it.

There is this idea, I'm not sure if it's confirmed somewhere (but I feel like it was) that Vizards were prohibited from using their masks inside the confines of Seireitei in any situation, that's why Kensei took Hisagi out of Seireitei for his training. Yes, it's a bit ridiculous that they didn't ignore that limitation when things got that bad, but well, they were almost executed once and I guess they didn't want to push their luck again and tried other means.

Group of peeps who are affected by shinji's bankai will immediately kill each other brutally. It doesn't matter if they are enemy or ally, his ban kai affects anyone.
