I can verify that what this man says is true. As a high value man, I was once invited to a club I didn't recognize by a tall stranger who informed me that he was an ex-basketball player. When I was like 23, I was single but was sorta seeing / dating a couple of women that were really nice. One had stayed over at my house the night before. And we slept together first thing in the morning. After she left to go to work, I ran some errands that day and had to pick some stuff up from my exes house whom I had split up from about 3 months prior. No idea what happened. But we chatted for a while whilst I was there and some how ended up sleeping together. Which was regretful. Later that night I went out with my friends for drinks in town, and had sorta hit it off with this girl in a rock bar in Leeds. Me , my friend , her friend and her all shared a taxi back to hers around 2 am and me and her ended up sleeping together that night. Technically it was 3 over 24 hours. However , the reason I am telling you this is not to brag or boast. Bur the opposite. I felt like total dog sh*t after and was not only guilty. But felt dirty. Felt like I had sort of let myself down. Felt ashamed ( even though I was still single ). It did not feel like something to he proud of at the time. And still does not now. In fact the only reason I really am sharing this story is because I firmly believe it is not an " alpha " thing to do. It's not an achievement, and it doesn't feel great. I haven't told anyone this really because real men don't feel the need to talk about these things. The point I am making is, if you see any guy that brags or boasts about something like that, and comes across as proud ? The funny thing about "alpha males" is that it's based on old research done on captive wolf packs that was debunked by the very guy who came up with the term and literally wrote the book on it. He realized that his research was flawed and wished that he could take it all back. It's also causing damage to dogs due to people trying to dominate dogs and claiming that you need to be the "pack leader" over them. He discovered that the actual "leaders" of a wolf pack are the mom and dad, and the other pack members are their kids. They're actually called the breeding pair and they're not "dominant" over their offspring despite what fake dog trainers on TV say. The term "alpha" is outdated and leads to some erroneous assumptions. Alpha theory is archaic nonsense. So if somebody claims to be an "alpha male," the scientifically appropriate response would be to ask him how his wife and kids are doing since the way a wolf becomes a leader of a pack is just by finding a mate and having puppies, not by being a massive jerk.
There was a study I read where the apparent “alpha” in groups of chimpanzees/gorillas weren’t the most aggressive males but were actually the ones that supported others in the group (I.e. grooming others, sharing food). Lesson being that caring about others wellbeing is alpha as fuck lol
