Its a known fact that the Army of Northern Virginia had type 1 Richmond Depot Jackets and frock coats in the Antietam campaign because it was 1862 and that’s what they were issued, which means the shell jackets for the infantry would have black trim like you can see in all the tintypes the soldiers took in early war photos and that they were quite dirty and raggedy by all the civilians who saw them and wrote about them in Maryland, because they had been fighting and campaigning hard for a month. Antietam was also the first battle field that was photographed by northern photographers right after the fighting was over which showed what the Confederate soldiers look like that day. Because they were still all on the field unburied. The federal’s buried their own first. Witch left the confederates to be photographed. Which is quite gruesome but in fact shows what the confederate soldiers look like that day at Antietam. There is a thing called research where you can know about something without having been there. I bet you know what Ukrainian and Russian soldiers look like but yet you are not over there fighting.

@@Chibeagle Squad and games similar to it worked it out. Just make a server that requires the workshop mod and it works. If the mod is actually fleshed out and makes it feel like, as OP said, franco-prussian war with a few maps and isn't just different character models, people will like it and it'll eventually get enough players to play it. Making the mods free is what makes it worth a try for a lot of people

Best thing about this game are the mindless charges in pubs when playing as the confederate. But if you join a regiment you can get some really tactial and authentic battles.

I suggest every body to try Stronghold Crusader 1, since it's probably the most affordable strategy game. It's old but it's the best. I have tried Frozenheim, Northgard, Diplomacy is not an Option... But Stronghold Crusader 1 is the cheapest and the best. It is also the best Stronghold ever.

Also, you should just really play with pub co players sometime, its a lot more organized than you think

Not sure if there's a hotkey to toggle it but I am pretty sure you can turn off the HUD in the settings. It definitely improves immersion. The one thing that has always bothered me about WOR is the sepia filter on everything.

Either something happens with the control point(s) and the hud at the top shows up because it's important. Or you press a button (T by default) to make the hud and player names show up.

That’s exactly what the game does. You press T to bring up the compass and player names

For something like War of Rights, you will need a decent GPU, but you could probably go with a budget one and crank everything down to low settings and run around 30fps. Total War on the other hand, depending on which installment also needs a good gpu, but also requires cpu power to process all the different units running around. Most of the total war games have active modding communities that have optimization mods that help the game run smoother as well. Don't have specific parts to recommend though, hope this helps.

@@teddyhaynes9876 Yes, the cold moist air also could of carried blood in air. The blast from cannon fire caused many to die slowly of getting blown up out of physics of the ball n blast, unlike in modern day of explosion of instant death.

It's a lot more controlled in private battles between fairly organized Regiments. And the Devs are working on Cavalry, right now there is some dismounted Cavalry.

BCoF is fun, but WoR is more graphically interesting and more reenactment-type gameplay.

Oh wait hes played it? How did i miss that lol. Ill agree this one looks much better graphically, but the NW heritage for BCoF is a lot more appealing to me personally
