My mom had a nissan versa when i was in the 3rd grade. I am now in college and my mom gave her car away to my aunt and it still works like brand new. Still has great mpg and is really reliable.

Just bought one of these, manual, yesterday. I now have just over 200 miles on it, it's reported average MPG is 43.2! That did include 40-50 miles of city driving. I'm very happy. It's a very easy manual to drive.

It’s a great car for what it is, and as long as you change the CVT fluid every 20-30 thousand miles it can last a lot longer.

I learned to drive on a 1955 Plymouth Plaza, base model, stripped down, that cost $1800 in 1955, that's about $20,000 in today's dollars, the same price as for his Nissan. The 1955 Plymouth had a standard transmission, 3 on the tree, no power steering, no power brakes, no ac, no safety features, no nothing except radio (AM) and heater. This car is a bargain!

Compared to the another entry level model, the Mitsubishi Mirage, this car is far superior in size and styling for the money IMO. If I buy another car it will probably be one of these, but I like manual shift and I see that it's offered on the S model. My brother has had the top of the line Versa for 2yrs and it's been very reliable.

Removing keyless entry from 2024 s model is proof that Nissan wants to phase the s model out if not the whole Versa brand. Nobody is providing entry level cars for maximum profit. The Chinese will eat their lunch with under 20k cars. PS I am buying the 2022 model s automatic locks and windows s model manual soon my 2013 manual just hit 200k.

I had a nissan versa note, 2014 bought brand new i drove it for almost 7 years and loved the simplicity of it. I now have a ford fusion but the gas mileage is a bit disappointing and feels heavy.

It looks like a decent car. We actually need more inexpensive cars. The big problem with the Versa is the CVT. One needs to factor in the cost of getting it serviced every 30K or it could end up a $5K repair. Or, someone could buy the base model with the manual. Even factoring in maintaining the CVT and a possible replacement once it gets higher mileage, it’s still less than half the cost (even fully loaded) than the average new vehicle. And, some of those more expensive vehicles also have issues and expensive repairs. It’s probably a better car than a Kia or Hyundai in a similar price range. If one wants super reliability, they would likely need to spend $5K more for a Corolla, Civic, or Mazda 3. It makes sense if someone wants inexpensive transportation and is willing to factor in the cost of maintaining and possibly eventually replacing the CVT.

I just bought my manual Versa yesterday. It comes with a 6 year/60,000 mile power train warranty. The dealership I bought from adds an additional Power Train warranty the kicks in when the Nissan one runs out. LifeTime Warranty. As long as you own the vehicle, no mileage limit. $100 deductible. I thought that was pretty decent, may even make a CVT a viable option.

Is the touchscreen replaceable for like an aftermarket Am/Fm CD player stereo if you didn't want to keep the touchscreen? I'm an old school person I don't like the new technology in cars these days.

I think many people will be happy with this vehicle. My understanding is that CTV transmissions break after 60,000 miles. This car will be riding past the transmission repair shop laughing. I would like to see even less technology. Lane assist is junk. It would be nice to have android compatible on that base.

Nope. CVTs are great for tiny cars with tiny engines. They only “blow up” on larger cars because of being over torqued.

Under $20k. It certainly looks like it. That said, people here need a cheap option for transportation that is economic to run and maintain. If it’s reliable and fuel efficient Nissan hit the nail on the head.

This is the first video I've seen of yours, and while it's OK and better than anything I could produce, and I mean this to be a kind message hoping it offers some genuine constructive feedback (no ill will intended): you'll definitely want to make efforts to vary your language a bit. You may not realize it, but you used "actual" or "actually" TWENTY times in this video, most noticeably there were two occasions where you said it twice within 2-3 seconds. No, I'm not so bored that I counted, it was just something that tickled me ear and then opened the transcript and Ctrl+F for "actual". I wish you success, and hope this might help you improve the quality if your content further!

Since they're clearly not trying to put any effort in to be the "cheapest new car" anymore, can they at least give you some hubcaps? $20,000 for that is a ripoff.
@marvin7533
@marvin7533 2 месяца назад
The base comes with hub caps. Some remove them to make it look sporty like having black rims. That's been going on for decades. I've seen this with others like Toyota, Honda, etc.
@TheTarrMan
@TheTarrMan 2 месяца назад
@@marvin7533 That's stupid, that's just a commuter car. Hubcaps protect the lugnuts and the hub flange end cap area from road grime which causes various corrosion issues. (That's why rims have the cap that cover that area and/or lugnuts with the chrome capped "sealed" lug nuts.) You may not think it's a problem now, but after 200,000+ miles you are definitely going to be able to tell the difference between that (assuming he keeps them off) and the other cars with the same mileage but had the hubcaps. The reason why trucks "don't have them" is because they're meant for the dirt fields and in excessively harsh environments such as that, caps thingys like that end up doing a disservice and hold debris in which causes even more issues (which is why they "don't usually have that stuff). It is accepted that the "no hubcaps" are the lesser of two evils for professional equipment. Any caps they do have need to have a gasket and seals. "Doing it to look sporty" while I'm passing those people in my grandma-mobile boaty sluggish panther body while they're criticizing me because "driving like that is dangerous" just makes them look like a bunch of dorks.
