Wheelie isn't needed as it does not get propelled by back wheel , so can't wheelie ...🙄

@@RodgerMyers not EXACTLY true but its harder to get it to do so and can be fairly easily setup to avoid it with swingarm geometry. Your mostly going to see it wheelie through track debris, a shimmy in the bars that kind of thing. The whole not having a clutch is going to really help in not having it do it.

It is Exactly true that it is not rear wheel driven !!! Every motorcycle I've driven has been and that is the cause of a wheelie ... More power applied than what it takes to rotate the front end up . That is Exactly the reason for wheelie bars on drag bikes !!! A rocket bike does not propel the back wheel , it thrusts out of the rocket . Stability is an issue with anything that powerful , but the original comment about being faster than Larry and not even having a wheelie bar is what I responded to . The Pollution Packer was a Hydrogen Peroxide dragster that ran in the NHRA in the 70s ( from memory ) and went 4.6 and major speed for that time . It was not powering out the back door and was faster than the piston powered fuel cars then ... It didn't have wheelie bars either . I seen it run at Capitoln Raceway a few weeks after it set the record at a NHRA national .

@@RodgerMyers its a direct drive one RPM system, the main reason front wheel lift happens is therefore impossible. Well highly unlikely absent things like internal component failures. Bearings and similar. It hits the maximum RPM possible for the system from the instant its ignited. It doesn't build boost/rpm waiting for the Christmas tree its a countdown triggered on/off switch. This means you won't ever see a situation where a drive wheel speed overtakes the speed of the front wheel. If you had a clutch and could stage the thing, building pressure and preventing the rear wheel from spinning by disconnecting it from the system it would be entirely possible to wheelie it pretty much on command, Similarly you won't see the loading effectat causes things to wheelie when the engine rpm overtakes the drive wheel. There's a fair few Turbine bikes out there that have a quasi clutch or in the case of some models of the MTT Y2K a jackshaft arrangement that ensures the rear wheels rpm is linked to the turbine speed. The turbine propelling several of the road going jet turbine bikes is essentially exactly the way this is propelled but with a means of either preventing the rear wheel spinning at all or simply allowing it to free spin in a way that means it won't overcome the braking systems. The drag cars using jet engines and the drag jet bikes are their own special flavour of weirdness and are pretty much just a body and wheels with a full power jet and an afterburner button with a graduated switch that allows them with good brakes to stage the thing. Which is a fair bit more complicated than this rocket bike. Its the same reason that a direct drive electric bike doesn't wheelie generally speaking outside of the weight balance being wrong. The motor driving the rear wheel goes from still to its intended rpm pretty much instantly. The problem is the instant 100% power the instant you ask for it gives its own problems as Hammond found out with the Rimac. You tell an electric motor to turn on at max rpm and it does with no spin up time. If you were to use a rocket motor that you could graduate and have the wheels linked via something that ensures wheelspeed is linked to the power of the motor it would wheelie happily on command. The downside would be melting the bitumen and vht on the track and they tend to get fairly unhappy when the Jet Cars and bikes do that so you wouldn't win many friends at the track. The lack of wheelie bars is for a couple of reasons. 1. The reaction that propels that bike is intensely exothermic, well in excess of a cars exhaust gas temperature. Hence why NASA use fuel to cool the nozzles on their stage 1 and boosters for the Shuttle as do spaceX. 2. The products that it vents out are likely to include some fairly nasty peroxides and an Ali set of framework behind the rocket motor would probably either best case end with melted ali on the track or worst case stripping the Aluminum Oxide layer off the metal and then allowing it to react with the water in the air around it which would be intensely exothermic. Which is why on the boosters recovered you see melted areas, chunks missing and misshapen parts even when using things like inconel. Chemical rockets aren't particularly impressive tech wise nor are they particularly efficient. It's essentially 1940's technology strapped to a bicycle frame. Given the internal Combustion engine is THE most thermodynamically efficient thing mankind has managed to build with 35% efficency possible and reasonably common its really not surprising a chemical rocket can't beat a forced induction, nitromethane fueled bike that has computer controlled ignition timing, fuel delivery and a gearbox that is computer controlled to ensure the minimum loss of power innrev matching. Theres a reason we don't use chemical rockets outside of very limited circumstances in military roles where their comparatively small form factor matters like torpedoes.
