Gotta be parries. And I mean planned parries, where they follow up. Not those unintended ones where they immediately go back into shield or just roll outta there.
We gotta ask the Smash Bros Ultimate devs to patch and fix Yoshi's Story stage with the food items not being disabled when going into it 1V1. This is something worth addressing.
In my opinion, techs shouldnt have been nerfed in ultimate. I can understand dodge rolling nerf, but TECHs? They required you to be precise and pull off some fun shit in past games, now you just might die due to untechables. But hey thats just my opinion.
They weren't nerfed. There were several situations in which you couldn't tech in Smash 4. Now there's only one in which you can't, when you have too much damage. I think is far better.
The untechables though were not too bad considering that I usually came across having to tech something powerful like Ness' recovery a lot and never felt the untechables that much in Smash 4. Plus in Melee, I loved playing at bottom of Hyrule Temple for all the times you could tech. Too bad it is not possible anymore.
@@Levi-du4tv basically. But at some point when you have to much damage it doesnt work, at least for me and other moments where its untechable because you got launched too fasy
It’s when you press an input as you fall or as you are about to be sent flying in one direction. Usually it’s in the opposite direction of whichever way you’d be sent. But anyways it drastically reduces your distance traveled in that direction and can save you from dying until a certain percentage.
It's known as a counter pick stage, every smash game meta has some. They are there to allow more characters have viability and to give the person who lost a slight boost to try to come back.
