Good job Daren! Alot of the Rubber Injection molds I deal with run at 172- 178 C degrees ( 341-352 f) mold temperature. Which is the soft uncured rubber is injected , formed and cured using the surface temperature of the mold. The raw rubber was being made in Akron but I'm not for sure now. As for the wacky worm mold in Michigan, it probably was a 3 minute semi automatic on a 12 cavity mold. A guess estimation cost at $3000-$3500 for the mold. I'll know more info when I go up there in March. Hopefully I can get some and send them your way.
@@wendellfishing nah 😂 The mold I ran was a single cavity Air Flow Tube for a older Honda was $16k . The 3 cavity current model rubber injection molds are $48k-$52k. Now the bigger Plastic injection molds built in China are $80k-$125 plus shipping. I have a Toyota mold for a santoprene part coming next week to trial. So you did great with your budget molding 🙂

I saw Roland Martin do this on his TV show once. His favorite color is also green pumpkin which is also my favorite color! That color works up north where you are and down south where I am.
Check market place you can find a microwave for $20 or less . try to find a 1000 watt it will cut down on nuke time less chance of scorching/burning plastics.
@@wendellfishing I picked up a 20# lead pot four molds 30# of lead 25 different colors of powder coat a toaster oven two huge trays filled with hooks and well over 2000 skirt tabs for $300 15 miles down the road off of a guy on marketplace
To clarify what you were referring to lead molds are cast aluminum. The others are CNC cut from billet aluminum. The cast molds from DoIt are less expensive than the machine cut.
Bachelors can get a second microwave for the garage. Married men must get a newer, better microwave in the house and take the old janky one from the house to the garage ;)
