I just signed up with mamedica and the whole process was easy and only took 8 days to get a signed prescription. Just waiting on the tracking number from royal mail. I was told to put my prescription in 10 days before I run out. All in all I'm very happy with choosing mamedica P.s love the channel
Hey. I have raging adhd. Please don’t apologise for yourself, you’re being helpful and informative. If anyone doesn’t like your personality or anything like that then I promise you it’s their problem. Thanks for the informative video, learnt a lot. Considering a change. Thanks!
This has helped a lot. I have been looking into medical cannabis to help with my bipolar and anxiety. The anxiety cripples me everyday and the bipolar disorder makes life so hard. Only thing is last time I smoked weed was when I was 17 and am now 40 years old but I am so desperate to be better to feel human again am going to try it and see how it goes. I have a consultation coming up so hopefully I will get some info and hopefully it will work❤
Im with Lyphe and have had a fairly good experience so far. Ive been with them around 6 months. Only issue ive had was when they ran out of farm gas, i asked for sourdough and had to wait a couple of weeks for docs to confirm i was okay to have it. It was at this point i was transferred over to IPS. Much happier with the extra choice but do miss the free boveda packs that came with dispensary green.
@riddim07 Just had a look on a few sites, and apparently, the lyphe clinic is a separate company from the lyphe group (which is in administration) and is continuing service as normal.
I just joined a clinic named Treat it. Chose them because they get your care record from the NHS. They also have access to every different strain available!
@@fuhcough they took care of everything for me! My experience over the last 5-6 months has been fantastic and effortless. And the Strain named French Cookies is amazing for all types of inflammatory arthritis!
Kady you beauty thank you so much for all your videos i just had my first appointment with Altleath today and i only know about them because of your video on it. Thank you for all the info/news, positivity and good vibes :)
I recently joined Mamedica. I was so nervous about taking the step after years of arguing with Dr's and the labels that came with. It took a while to get the ball rolling fully BUT that was down to my gp surgery and not Mamedica. Once all information was received from the gp everything cracked on.....first consultation on Monday, meds at my door on Friday 😁 for me how easy it all was played with my anxiety more than if it had been a sh*t show 🤷♂️🤣. Now I know things don't go smoothly all the time but so far my experience has been great. Great informative vid by the way, keep it up 🤘
@jackhillman1955 I can't really answer on 'how good' it is, that's gonna be down to an individuals interpretation of what makes a flower good. For example some people value taste and smell over effect and benefit AND vica verca or whatever they say. Personally the pros for me being a medical cannabis patient completely outweigh the cons.
@christophercampbell9809 that's something that's discussed with the Dr, for example my prescribed amount is based around what I was using daily x 30 days.
Never apologise for being amazing and thank you for going against your natural instinct to give us this valuable information,I suppose it's a testament to how well this treatment works 🙏💚
I've been waiting for this one. At the beginning you said how big a thing this long video was for you....well you smashed it and it's a great community with great information here. I put this at the top but have been commenting in order of the video apart from the most important part at the beginning here. Sorry this is a long comment on this video but very interesting and alot of insight for anyone looking information that's new. Had to put this part at the top. I'm pretty sure you're talking about me with the Farmgas/Sourdough situation as you read my comment out in a previous video and have replied to most my comments from I've found this great community you are building. So it wasn't actually that simple getting the sourdough even though I rang curaleaf and asked if they stocked it and they said yes, when I had my consultation the next day I asked for 60g that was fine, asked for 30g of the Delahaze and that was fine then said and for night can I have 30g of the Sourdough please. This is where things took a terrible turn and has been my worst experience ever with sapphire. So the woman taking the consultation told me she needed to run it past my main Dr as with the THC being so high it would need to be given the ok by him. I again explained how I had the Farmgas and asked why the 1.3-2% difference was even being questioned, she smiled and couldn't answer. I said ok so do you want to go and speak to Dr Crews now and I will wait to which I got the reply sorry he only works certain days and she couldn't tell me when this would be resolved. I then explained I was running out of medication and needed the prescription sent off that day like it had been every other time in order for me to not have to go without medication and she nervously laughed and said I'm sorry I will be in touch when I speak to Dr Crews. Ironically before all this we had a quick chat and I explained how my anxiety is so controllable and no longer constant and I haven't had a panic attack from starting the process. So when I felt I was completely being left in limbo, going to run out of medication and not even sure when or what I was getting next, I started to actually get very anxious and the woman could tell, she then started trying to end the call and I said this hasn't been resolved then I felt a panic attack starting to come along and said I feel like I'm about to have a panic attack and she said I'm sorry I have to go to my next meeting we will be in contact soon and ended the call. I was shaking with anger and anxiety. I then rang customer services and explained what happened, they were actually fantastic and got me a call back from the woman who I feel had been possibly let's say warned about how she treated me as the woman I spoke to at customer service was as disgusted as I was. So then she rings back doesn't actually apologise and offers me the 30g of Delahaze and then said we can give you 30g of the Adven LA Kush Cake again for a month until we get the ok to give you the sourdough. I just laughed and said sorry I'm actually the professional here when it comes to weed and weed related products that work for me, not you. I explained how I've had concentrates like 3 times the strength of the sourdough and been smoking for 25 years but around 22 consistently everyday. I thought this would make them realise ok his tolerance is high and he knows what he's talking about. But no she said well I can only offer the delahaze and La Kush Cake for now. So I said I will take the delahaze, I don't want anymore adven strains, and in the meantime I will buy a zip of an indica on the streets and will be moving clinic as I had spoken to mamedica and alternaleaf. She then said ok I will print the delahaze now and take everything else off your prescription. She then rings back very quickly most likely after speaking to the Dr that apparently wasnt there that day and said ok we have approved the sourdough for you but you have to take 10g of CBD flower to go alongside it because if it's strength....I laughed and just said no I'm not buying CBD flower under any circumstances again I'm the one that smokes the stuff and I know what works and what doesn't. I was very frustrated at this point as most people would be and just said either give me both strains or just give me the delahaze and I will start the process of moving clinic. She then said ok I'm going to print the prescription for both strains now and send it off and can you let us know after the first month how you're coping with the sourdough. Again I laughed and said yes I will send an email letting you know you wasted my time over 2% and I'm absolutely fine. Low and behold I have both strains, they're great but what an experience. Oh and just to put it out there I got an email today sapphire is changing their name to curaleaf clinics. Ok I'm typing as watching the video and smoking sourdough and I had to laugh at the part about you saying Lyphe are glorifying being able to get free advise 😂 I feel from the research I've done mamedica is definitely the best especially as I'm on ESA and PIP but they told me on the phone not to leave sapphire until I have the consultation as they do absolutely everything by the book there's no grey areas, they even wouldn't accept my medical records as they were 7 months old and have to be dated within 6 months. Tbh this has put me off moving for now and I'm happy I've got the Delahaze for say and Sourdough for night. The Delahaze is hands down the best sativa I've had. I hate haze's and actually really like this stuff. Canada just do it definitely and especially Aurora. Ok so the card to show police I know how I feel about it.....don't need it. As soon as you pull your phone out and say do you want to see my prescription they don't want to know as they keep getting embarrassed. Me being one of the people to do it like I explained before with my comment about the wheelchair when they asked at court if I could leave my medication at home in future lol Ok this is long enough and you're 34 mins in I think I've covered more than enough here. I'm watching until the end fantastic video ✌️💨
Recently subscribed and have been bouncing around your content (can't sleep and have no flower to help). Another excellent, informative video. Thank you for all the hard work that obviously went into this 💚
I’ve been suffering with chronic pain for years now and have only realised that cannabis is legal for medical use. I applied last week and I have my consultation tomorrow
My sapphire experience is pretty bad too. Last week they failed to let me know they had run out of one of the strains I get prescribed so I called up on Monday to let them know I was close to running out and could they just swap it for some of my other strain. They said they raised a written prescription immediately and then said they posted it off. I called up Curaleaf on Friday to ask what was going on as I had now run out and they said that Sapphire had still not printed out the prescription so I would have to wait until next week to try to sort it out. This and other screw ups by Sapphire happen regularly and they can also be very rude despite it being their mistake all of the time. I'm about to go and check out other clinics as Sapphire are just too unreliable - they did something similar last month and are never helpful, only rude and obvious liars now too.
Thank u for highlighting the facts about the problems with sapphire that i told u about nnalso did Vids on, everyone needs to know what there like! 👌💯💚🙏☮️✌️
From my personal experience you want a prescription for non irradiated flower, when it is exposed to any radiation it messes with the terpenes and it tastes & smells like burning hay. The drops you place under your tongue do not really affect you much and for me personally I found it to be pointless. This all being said I no longer use cannabis or any drugs to aid my conditions (PTSD, chronic pain & traumatic brain injury) & I have never felt better/ myself again. If/ when you feel strong enough you are better off without anything, cool video btw you explain everything perfectly. 🙃✌️
Mate, don't apologise for how your conditions affect you... there's a really easy way of getting this information. If you go onto medbud the clinic list is sorted by initial price for the first year and all the prices are laid out. Cantourage changed their pricing which made it confusing as hell, bad move on their part. But if you're already a patient it works out cheaper. It used to be 100 for first consultation then 50 every quarter. Its now 30 every quarter and 75 once a year to see the "specialist".
Ah! that makes sense that they changed but why is it not on the website? I done this video on Friday 8th December and the website showing them prices. People should know about the change!
@@KadysNewLife yeah it's confusing AF... it used to be that you saw a consultant/specialist every appointment and it was £50 every quarter, £99 for initial consultation. Now you can see a normal doctor which costs £29 every quarter and see the specialist once a year for review which is 79 i think. Also worth mentioning that repeats are free, but they now charge £15 for splitting prescriptions or rewriting them if you change your mind which was previously free. They also offer an access scheme so prices might be slightly lower for you
Just wanted to stop by the channel to show love and support to the page you are an amazing person and content creator much love to you and your family from the Chronicles family
You didn't mention Integro's GAP Scheme (Grow Access Project) were if you are on benefits such as Universal Credit, ESA, are a veteran or get PIP/ADP then you get first consult for FREE and your follow up appointment is £49 and repeat script fee is £10 and the every 3-4 months appointment is £49 as well but on the appointment every 3-4 months you don't have the £10 repeat to pay for - the script fee of £10 is for the months in between your appointment. You also get money off certain strains as well.
Thanks for this info, unfortunately when looking at the site, it did not show this so I could only go by the fact of what they say. Thank you for confirming and telling other patient about your experience as this is what i need! help from ALL to help ALL x
I was going to ask about JEC. They do face 2 face as well as video calls. I'm thinking of going with them (it will be my first MC clinic). Did you have any problems, was the consultant good? I have severe depression and insomnia.
I only found out last year you can get a medical prescription. I have ADHD but my doctor is funny about meds because of my past addiction problems. So I’m looking into getting a prescription. It helps me in the evenings as after a blaze I can actually watch tv with my misses without my mind thinking about 5 things at once.
I have adhd and borderline personality disorder and always thought weed helped my conditions. I smoked about 3.5 a day for about 20 years only not smoking when i jail in 2011. I quit 164 days ago but missed chilling with a j playing computer or trying to draw tattoo stencils as since i stopped i could only do it for like 20 mins. This last week i bought some nice cbd flower that tastes exactly like weed, and is so much cheaper. I can get 14g for £25 and its been helping me alot, makes me feel like im still smoking weed. Im not paying all the money they want for a prescription, ive been to jail for growing myself and consider myself a connoisseur and was picky with what i smoked so give it a try
I didn't know medical was even a thing in uk. I buy aaa grade cali weed for 150 an ounce it's always good and I don't need to go thru all the faffing around explained in the video so I don't think I will be changing my supply anytime soon. Thanks for the info in the video it was truly very informative.
I took the plunge as a first timer and opted for Alternaleaf. My initial appointment was for the 20th of Dec but I contacted them to say it was a long wait and it was brought forward. I completed the process on Thursday and await delivery of my meds early next week. What really helped and sped it all up, was having a complete copy of my medical record to hand and pulling out the relevant material for them beforehand.
When I told my gp he was intresded and definitely not against it. He's even wrote a letter to the council supporting me. I was shocked but really happy. He said the I'm his first patient that uses cannabis. He understands that the drugs he supply's are no good for me.
@@deadmanwalking5576 I’m on mirtazapine 30mg for sleep / anxiety / depression only helping me sleep a little better but no uplift in mood in daytime . They going to up to 45 mg next month .
@@thomascheek1179 As far as I understand, you must have a diagnosis by GP/consultant then had at least two different treatments - this could be a "talking therapy" and then a "medicine"; or perhaps two different "medicines". The thing is, it should be for the same condition, but I'm just starting down this road myself. Good luck.
Many thanks for the info Kady! I have been following your advice, much appreciated, love from Northern Ireland! I chose Alternaleaf to get booked for a 10 minute Assessment video.
I have been with Sapphire since November 23 and i think the clinic are okay but the quality of the flower has been horrible from Curaleaf. Any of the flower which has been irradiated has not been pleasant! It tastes awful and you cannot change what you smoke and have to wait for a further appointment to then change what you are being given. I have also been issued the oil which i did not feel anything from at all. I am looking to change ASAP - appreciate the videos!
Wicked. I’m mm’s away from applying for two conditions, spare the world the details. Project-Twenty-21 is a must but once you get to clinics, people’s experiences of such, how clinic x is linked to specific pharmacies, cost-prohibiting scaling/benefits and how your primary care GP may react, it can get a little hazy (no pun intended) and labyrinthine. My fear is primary care having a hissy hit from hubris and not even tapering meds they’ll pull to make an example out of me. Secondary care services for chronic pain less so but you never quite know until you go all in. I was tempted to pay for an assessment, then make a GP appt/secondary care appt to discuss MC and see how they’ll react. Brutal system, we can’t even supply British sourced flower and oils -
Good informative video thanks. I am currently waiting for my first consultation with curaleaf, I am a bit nervous but looking forward to hopefully starting my medical cannabis life.
As i understand it the clinics are not allowed to promote one pharmacy over another and every patient is allowed access to any of the available pharmacies and strains they ask for.
I'm thinking of moving clinic from Sapphire / Curaleaf because of their pharmacy and Adven only policy. But if I can simply swap pharmacies then that should be cheaper and easier. The thing with Adven for me is their lack of strains suitable for me and my budget, and there are a couple of clinics that have a better choice of strains that are effective and cost about £5-6 a gramme so I might see if I can swap from Curaleaf pharmacy to one of the ones I found the other day. Cheers
I had the same issues with zerenia I ended back on pharmaceuticals as I couldn't afford it anymore which has been a nightmare for me I'd love to swop over to something more affordable I didn't even know I could I also hated the product from curaleaf as it wasn't brill and expensive
Just started with sapphire, not impressed at all. Pricing and website nuclear. Only prescribed 2 lots of flower 21/22 % radiated tasteless erb....😔 Got second consultation soon cost me £50. They are only interested in pain and depression. Whilst it applies to me they weren't at all interested in my gastro issues, which is my issue. I need a clinic that will let me choose from menu of non irradiated products. Any suggestions people? 🙏
As you mention gastro issues and non irradiated product....if you've previously been on medication that can affect your immune system the clinic Dr will probably be less likely to prescribe a non irradiated flower due to the slight risk of bacteria being carried. At least this was the reason I was given for this.
A camera phone is way beyond my budget, so i have to get what i can locally. It'd be nice to be able to pick and choose what i wanted/needed, but it's not financial feasible so that's the end of that.
Hey Kady!! Great video.. Thank you! What are your thoughts on Jorja Emerson Clinic? Seems to be the only subscription clinic and seems fairly priced but cant find any reviews on them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. X
great vid....Im just about to start with a clinic in England...was just signing up with mamedica, but now Im looking at alternleaf...thanks for the reviews...
Do you have Dispended in the UK? We have Dispended in Australia. They don't charge consultation fee. They have a system with monthly delivery right to your delivery address. The only cons is that they don't have that many strains unlike other clinics in Australia.
The price is what made me stop my prescription. Way cheaper for me to pay £90 an ounce and I can get thcp from the dude I deal with. I don’t use weed outside of my own house, so I’m not too worried about police etc.
The biggest costs are not the consultations. My prescription is 90g a month and the cost is 7.50 a gram... So saving a little on a consultation is a drop in the ocean. Patients should be allowed to grow their own so they arent forced to the black market
Hi Kady, thank you so much for all the info you give out. I was just wondering if you knew before I pick a clinic if I was rejected with one, would that effect future tries? I have chronic back and joint pain, depression and anxiety and this is the only thing that works for me. As I don't know many people I struggle to find any myself and find myself self medicating with to much alcohol :(
We ahould only be paying for follow ups a year after we've been there... (gives a year to right any wrongs with script).. after the year.. it should be we only pay for follow up IF we feel we need it. Maybe given a free consul every so often to check we are good...
@KadysNewLife and if we do have to pay for consula after a year/for a check uo it should be no higher than 25ish £... their doing their work.. we are getting what we need. Fair
My mate is with Cureleaf and discovered that his weed was radiated, and i understand that it kills bugs, pesticides etc but made the weed smell and taste not good at all, said it tasted like Hay lol ! I understand clinics are about curing or controlling your issue but at the same time I wanne enjoy what im smoking! The reason I choose this clinic is because the video consultation is free for X veterans! Is there a clinic that sells weed that is unradiated and is veteran friendly?
Hey I’m on my access clinic right now just switched meds to another strain .I’m a student looking for more affordable options when I’m stable on this new one.
Hi can someone answer my questions please. 1) what's are the repeat prescription fees? Do you pay that amount everytime let's say you order flower? 2) can you order as much or little as you want or does the doc decide? 3) I suffered a panic attack over Christmas and it spiralled my anxiety crazy. I did hypnotherapy it helped little. I didn't take anxiety medications as I have a fear of pharmaceutical medicines. They prescribed me Diazapam would hypnotherapy and diazapam count as 2 different remedies tried before i could be eligible for cannabis? Thank you. I'm smoking illegally and it's helping me massively.
Hi not sure where the person got there info from my wife is wife is with sapphire and gets 20💯THC plus strawberry at 25 💯 THC ..and had no problems getting this wee hats so ever ..and have no problems what's so ever ..never missed a single delivery and we are way up in the Highlands..I do wish they would stop the 3 monthly reviews at 50 as I feel there is no need unless you need to change to a different prescription..ps keep up the videos great information 😊
Sapphire sucks in my opinion : I’m arguing with these companies, they are charging me £110 for 10grams , i’ve already told him it’s suicide for their businesses and they don’t get with street prices and decent quality products. Then why should we spend out hard and money on rubbish and guess work either the products work or they don’t again it’s up to the individual, but which road they take: love your content, always informative, Mr dreadlocks ❤ peace out take care
Curaleaf / sapphire clinic were good at first however after each appointment, which they insisted monthly at first, probably because I was completely new to cannabis so fair enough, but cannot get the strain I found works. Have another appointment, find another strain that works get it once then it's unavailable again. And it repeats constantly. It's frustrating because each time I'm having to try a new strain due to stock issues and have different effects. They expect me to fill out health tracking questionnaires even though I can't answer them right because I have had different strains each time. It's gotten out of hand now and at the moment I have nothing available. After spending lots on appointments. Nothing suitable and waiting for them to get back to me. Frustrating.
I've been a user for maybe 15 - 20 years, I would love to go legal but the up front costs & fees on top of the flower would cripple me even if I did use marmedica for the "benefit" thing. I honestly have no idea about whats ment to do what I just buy what I can get and hope it works, some months its a win some not so much. Am curious tho 2bh xx
I've been a heavy user for 20+ years and had the same thoughts as you about going legal... For me it turns out that 40g of 25% THC medical weed costs LESS than the 60g a month I'd usually use of black market weed (12-18% THC). With the medical weed you always know exactly what you're getting and nobody is gonna sell you 'underweight'.
Hi, not having the easiest experience with alternaleaf, keep asking for medical records and id which I provided, and can't seem to work a webcam so I missed my video call I then called and got to speak to an Indian lady who unfortunately had trouble with my Scottish accent and I with hers , bit frustrated in pain thought it would be easier
Try an email? I don't work for them so cannot actually help you. Maybe converse through writing that may help. They want to help you so this should be no problem to sort it out
@@KadysNewLife have sent around 20, couldn't use the link to video chat to the pharmacist so missed the initial consultation, I'm a technophobe so that makes it a little difficult, like my GP said should legal and doctors need to be re-educated accordingly
I get pre-ground medical, it smells and tastes great, does the job very well, in Maine (I live in in Mass a 1/2 away) for $60 an Z!!! Small buds for a $100 a z!!! It's affordable around me if you know. Especially if you go through 2 z's a month like me (vaping the dry herb). Getting cheaper as it should...
I am get oil and flower. I find the effect from oils very effective but it takes a long time to settle in. This is my first time trying or vaping weed. I get hardly any effecta from that. I think i might be doing aomething wrong etc
I have stage 3 hidradenitis supprativa, crohns disease, deppression and anxiety ive been suffering for 18 years no anti biotics work and smoking helps so much Will they approve me
As long as you have the proof of the diagnosis and proof that two former conventional forms of treatment have not worked, Then yes you will be approved
Also how does it work with alternaleaf, can u change strains on yr prescription free of charge or do u have to pay an extra 50 quid for another consultation every time just to change what weed u wana medicate with like sapphire? Sapphire makes u pay 50 quid for another consultation everytime u wana change meds n then when i did that, they then only prescribed me one of the 2 on prescription then of course offered me crappy adven products instead as a replacement.. 🤷🏻♂️🙈💯💚🙏☮️✌️
Yes most clinics this is the case unfortunately. Follow up appointments for me I can say the types I would be interested in trying and so when I ask, I do mainly get it. Go over many strains you can have at appointments and say you would like to try a good amount of them :)
@@KadysNewLife ok someone on ere i talk to @edtalksabout is with cantourage n apparently if he wants a new strain he just calls them up tells em n they alter it free of charge?? I really don't like the overcontrolledness of not bein aloud to just change strain at will unless u pay for another consultation.. thats a rip off.. changing your mind on what flavour u want shouldn't cost anything let alone another consultation fee this is why iv come off of UK medical altogether now and gone back to the streets fuck all this man it shouldn't be this complicated overcontrolled n money making franchise orientated like they all are I'm sorry it's disgusting how its all set up in my eyes... How dare they ask for more money just to change what flavour i Wana medicate with when i can go out on the street and get whatever strain i choose to take completely free of charge regardless of the decision.. they shud be making a lil commission on every pot of weed from the weed company's that they sell it forl instead, to get there "consultation fee" to change meds then i can change meds free of charge willy nilly n not have to feel like I'm being robbed everytime i Wana change what weed I'm smoking.. and to be deadly honest every bit of medical weed iv had has been shit anyway n not my cuppa tea so again why the fuck wud i pay consultation feees for that when i can just go to the streets n get better weed and choose what i want everytime for free no consultation charge there...
I completely agree! But I do see that they are trying to take a change into things as they have been asking patients for their opinions. Maybe this is something that is going to change in the new year! As usual I will always keep you guys updated with a video. Have a happy holidays!
Hi! I’m with Alternaleaf and honestly I just email the repeats email with a request for {new strain} I just keep it to my prescription amount and generally it’s fine …I only pay for my consultation fee and even then that’s for general checkup/change of amount
I asked Drew if he is on the one off payment or if pays for the bud and he pays for it and gets 90grams a month from mamedica so guessing the 200 payment one off gets hardly any bud
@@KadysNewLife oh get you now I've contacted mamedica and they emailed back and to register but they saying I need to have had two different medications but I rarely go doctors so haven't had two different types of medication for one thing so gonna look what the medicine was for and see if can get something subscribed different. Say if I had a course off sleeping tablets once and ask doctor for some sleeping tablets but not the same one as before so its two different things
Flavour is 💯 percent important I believe in my case it’s due to needing frequent changes because I’m my hdhd smoking the same bit over long periods is not a good idea for most I would imagine could anyone give me any advice I’m with sapphire now called curaleaf I need to change to Mamedica or another clinic that is flexible example I’m currently prescribed la Kush cake to chemically for me other one is some sherbert strain rubbish I asked to change to forbidden fruits that I know works and wanted to give moroccan peaches a go they responded pay for a consultation and you MAY be able to change it happy with my allowance of 60gs pm but where I don’t like what I’m prescribed I order like 1 10g pot pm and source my bud locally anyone no if it’s simple to change to another clinic and costs involved
