Brandon was hurt from his childhood, I don’t get that she was a bad mother but didn’t know how to be one. Brandon just wanted to get it off his chest and she is just not that type of person and shows him the best way she can. What I noticed in that episode is that Brandon wanted compassion from his mother. She did what had to do but she forgot to do it with love and I think that’s he’s been wanting from her. I don’t blame mom bc she’s just a product of her own trauma so what he was asking for she never got so she never understood or learned how to show those emotions towards her kids
