It said the character said no to the selfie request. When I was a kid I saw Sonny Fox from Wonderama and he pushed me and said " move kid". I couldn't care less! If those little girls think they were being discriminated because they are black, it's only because of what the mother is telling them.
we can't be certain what mom told them, however from the footage I've seen, most parents attempted to use distraction tactics, for the sake of sparing the child's feelings.but as one celebrity chimed in..the look on their faces. clearly, said please explain something.
@Loving Social Distance your comparing this to Ruby Bridges. You may pull a muscle trying to reach that far. Nothing black folks went through back then is comparable to now. We have so many oppurtunities they didn't have. They couldn't even go to a 75 dollar ticket theme park to be overlooked. Move on with your life. We as a culture have more import things to fix.
Ridiculous..."To our community and to our eyes, that we did not see what we saw."... Nah lady, you didn't see shit with those 3 meter lashes you wearin. Quit making this a race issue. It aint.
@@bethannesperring3482 The whole thing is ridiculous. How do they even know that the employee was white can they see thorough the costumes, because if they can thats amazing. Plus it's not just white people that have race issues it's all colors an I'm tired of everyone acting like it's just white people.
A line would not prevent them from just giving them a high five or a hug . They did give the white people next to the girls high fives , they even bent over and gave one of the white kids a hug . Another video taken from another angle show's the character acknowledging a white kid soon after passing the two girls .
@@shelbourneking7068 yeah but you don't know what really happened. You don't even know if that mascot is black or white. The video is too short. Why jump the gun and cry racism when you can't possibly know that for sure?
@@randymarsh9197 Even if the mascot is black ,they should still be fired ,because what they did was wrong . Them being black would not make it suddenly right .
When my son was in high school, he was the finalist for a college scholarship he applied for at a local organization, but when the organization realized that my son is white, the follow-up call never came. When we contacted the organization to find out the status on the scholarship he was told he had won, we were told that the scholarship was given to a black child instead. Discrimination goes both ways.
YES LETS GIVE HER A MIC FOR HER SPOT LIGHT MOMENT. AL SHARPTON ON HIS WAY TO MAKE MONEY, IM SURE THAT CHARACTER HAS BYPASSED NOT JUST THEM TWO GIRLS, BUT YES LETS GIVE THEM THE STAGE AGAIN BECAUSE WE ARE SHOWING HOW GOD AWFUL THIS IS. WHATS GOING TO BE THE PLOT TWIST IF THE PERSON IN THE COSTUME IS BLACK. And could it POsSIBlY be them running in the road where the float is headed…
Think about this. The person playing the character has a lawsuit as well. They have to sue to keep their name withheld from public acknowledgement. Mental Anguish, Wage Losses. Ect. Ect. Could be quite costly for Sesame Place.
“This is not about money” Now they are trying to sue for 25 M this is ridiculous. Adults trying to play the racial card, just because your kids were not acknowledged. I’m pretty sure they were not the only ones, with those costumes it’s pretty hard to see. I have been to theme parks before and plenty of people around me, including myself have not been acknowledged by characters, and that it’s not racism
BOYCOTT stop spending your money with company who are clearly. It is time. It took this to happen out loud and in your face type of racist to children, not just one child on one day. What about the other days? BOYCOTT wake up and smell the BS.
Ms P Planet, WHY don't people or activists boycott, protest against the continuous daily shootings, killings, murders, road rage, etc occurring in Philadelphia and elsewhere???? WHY??? Isn't that a lot more important than this???? Why is it always a racist issue????
@@0820-t8l Good morning. If I knew what to do believe I would do so.. At this moment I am very up set about innocent children first lesson in hate...smh. if you know of a way please do so. Have a wonderful day
@@0820-t8l PS. If you hit people in the pocket long term. Things will change. FyI. We as black people need to hold back on the coins . Not just this business but alot of businesses.
@@mspplanet7410 just because somebody doesnt treat you exactly like you want doesnt mean its racism. These workers do those parades & see thousands of kids everyday for hours in those heavy costumes for min wage. People have off days or tired or not paying attention. Stop acting like you can read peoples mind
@@27MOJOKING I do understand what you are saying. I have been a woman of color all my life. I had off days never have I decided to go to work and spread Hate by bullying children that's not my thing. I can speak from experience I do know what Racism feel & look like. It will hit you in "So many ways". Something about an adult treating a child in this manner pisses me the f*** off. Okay what if this was your child. Do you still feel that person was just having a bad day? Bless your heart.
Do you know how hot it is in that suit.. plus it’s like Disney can’t stay in the spot for too long also the character said it too 2 people so is it really racist? No she is just trying to gain attention in my opinion also yes he/her saw him but you can’t really see that good but do take in mind that he can barely see they made a big deal over this because you didn’t get a good damn high five
I’m crying so hard this really hurts every time I see the video it’s so plain to see the hate and racism!!😢😢😢 God please help us I’m so tired of this wickedness 🥲🥲
Sesame PLACE by the way. my generation didn't see this behavior on Sesame Street. also, to quote someone who asked.. If your theme park was built for kids why did you make costumes that can’t see them🤔🤔
Does mom wants a payout for kids being fatherless? Does mom assume what person in suit was seeing thinking & trying to do? When everything is racism, then nothing is.
Sesame street has lost black people as fans for sure.. they lost pretty much there whole base of fans.. including the ones that grew up watching sesame st ..they are all the way done They mind as well shut down
Yes I am right with you sue them for discrimination ,racism and for hurting those innocent kids mentally.theirs excuses are bullshit . it's happened many times.glad this lady took the matter on her hands.it'about time,no one sue them and hope she'll get the respect and apology and dommages from this heartless empathic company
Don't you think that protesting against the senseless shootings, killings, etc occurring in many US cities on a daily basis is a LOT more important than this???? Why does it always have to be about the racist issue???
First thing is, you don't know if this mascot was shrugging them because of their race or perhaps some other reason. Secondly, if someone doesn't like you than get over it. That's life. Besides I'm sorry but the truth is many blacks make it hard to like them. Everybody is tired of the whining and calling everything racist. Seriously, people are sick of this crap.
Sack them. There has been multiple videos with other racist behaviour from the characters smh....poor kids, the lasting impression it creates can impact the mental state greatly, especially when your black and continuously experience racism from the cradle to the grave.
