I WISH SON OF DATHOMIR WAS ANIMATED. IT WAS CLOSE TO BE ANIMATED. I think the battle between Darth Sidious and Mother Talzin would of been amazing to watch and would of been one of best battles in star wars!!!
Thanks prequel haters and Disney ceo bob iger for pandering to them, you cut tcw short when it was supposed to be 8 full seasons, not 5 full and half of 6/7 :(
@@childlowery1590 In terms of raw repulsive trickery, Mother Talzin is definitely higher on the chain than Palpatine. She dabbles in Sith Sorcery in ways he wouldn't dare.
@Paulo Eusebio What? Darth Sidious and Mother Talzin were having a one-on-one lightning clash. Dooku stepped in later but Maul also lent Talzin his strength. It wasn't enough though since all she could do was create a force shield to block against Sidious and Tyrannus' onslaught. She then pushed Maul away. Grevious only stepped in at the end to finish her off after she was already exhausted.
She is really the most epic Star wars antagonist since the original trilogy to me. Her amazing voice, the echo effect gives me chills. As her robes always flatter as if touched by an invisible wind , or even as a sentient carnivorous plant trying to lure in pray before striking. Her at the battle to defend her home planet from 10:24-10:37 shielding herself, levitating and sending a continues force lightning to destroy enemy after enemy. Just Epic.
@@mishiara5499 yes I’d love to see that. Mother Talzin and the night sisters imo needed more Bcus really Mother Talzin isn’t bad at all, just loyal to her sisters
@@JournaloftheWhills Talzin's Voice Actress *Barbara Goodson* Also Voiced Naga Sea Witch Lady Vashj in *Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne* , *WoW: The Burning Crusade* AND *WoW: Shadowlands* & Dr. Ashley Kafka in *Spider-Man (1994 TV series)* & T.K.'s and Matt's Mom in *Digimon Adventure 01* (1999 - 2000). She Also Reprised Her Role of Mother Talzin in *LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales* ( 2021 )
You know these night sisters are kinda similar to The League of Assassins from dc universe. I mean not power wise but both havw ways to bring people back to life, they are oddly mysterious, they are trained assassins, their ruler is hundreds of years old and one of the most skilled in their respective universe!
sometimes you really gotta think, Sidious already was worried about Talzin, seeing her as a threat but she was mostly confined to Dathomir but had her plan in TCW worked and had her power level boosted, just imagine how much more powerful she could have been
The fact that she was not only so strong with the force, that at one point Sidious planned to take her on as his apprentice, but that she is also skilled enough with a blade to go toe-to-toe with (and at times even outmatch) Mace Windu in saber duel, just shows how insanely powerful she actually was. In the end, it took Count Dooku, General Grevious, AND Darth Sidious to be able to kill her. Next to the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, she is easily my favorite character.
@@floofyan6727 Most ikely to encourage the appearance of it being a Jedi mission - they aren't exactly known for outright assassination ; by using a simple sense dampener they could pass it off as an arrest attempt and thus avoid Sidious's wrath from descending upon Dathomir...for a while.
@@floofyan6727 the poison would’ve likely been lethal to a normal human on its own. Force users are known for being resilient against all sorts of toxins.
We got a lot of her in the Clone Wars but I feel like Talzin could've been used so much more. She's essentially a genderbent version of Palpatine. So much potential. Such a shame her character was carted off so easily in the end.
Far more different, she is actually caring and has a desire to protect her coven. She deeply cares for her sons Maul and adopted Savage as well. She is schemy but again realize that the Sith betrayed her at some time so she wants revenge. And despite their power, they only keep as much as they need to survive, the Dathomiris never wanted world domination, which is a big troupe of the Sith
Nah even without dooku, the sheer amount of droids the CIS could throw at them would destroy the night sisters. The seperatists can do a war of attrition all day
Talzin: one of my favourite Star Wars characters, especially as she's neither good or evil. And so powerful. Even Sidious feared her for a reason. Unfortunately for her, both Dooku and Grievous had plot armor, otherwise I'm quite sure that she would have destroyed both of them. I don't think that Grievous would have had a way to defend himself against her lightning attack, other than evading it with his speed.
I agree with the plot armor. I’m not very knowledgeable with anything about her that’s not in the show but I wonder if she’s still out there somehow somewhere
7:18 "Magic is only an illusion." - Mace Widow. Then please explain why your lightsaber isn't going through her magical sword if it's only an illusion.
Because that's not just a sword. That's a lightsaber. And not just *any* lightsaber, the lightsaber of the fallen Jedi master who founded the nightsisters
@@jeshuatorres3250 they would be pretty powerful, yet Palpatine/Sidious would have no qualms about stabbing anyone in the back all for the sake of "UNLIMITED POWAH!!!!"
Mother Talzin is one of the most powerful characters in SW without being a force sensitive. That's a big feat. She was able to stalemate Windu and Palpatine had to 3v1 her to kill her.
eh, i buy it. Talzin seemed very much the sort to never forgive or forget, so debts are taken seriously. Especially the obvious tone of distaste in her conversation. She isn't flattering Dooku, which would seem suspicious out of the blue, but rather she makes it clear she wants the table cleared and then for him and his master to gtfo of her business.
I mean.....deals, oaths, debts, and contracts are big deals to witches, real and fictional. If I owed a debt to a Sith Lord, and if I interacted with the Force in the way the Dathomiri witches do, I would also gladly clear that debt rather quickly, especially if it were also a ploy to take down said Sith Lord for betraying me and my kin.
@@DgardsGaming imagine how powerful Old Daka was, she was the oldest and wisest of the nightsisters, and if she's more powerful than Talzin perhaps she's more powerful than Sidious and Windu.
Magick is so interesting, it’s like a more controlled version of the dark side of the force. Unlike the sith who let the dark side control them, the night sisters control IT. It also seems to drive off of more deceptive emotions less brutish like the sith.
I would disagree with you about the Sith letting the Dark Side control them. While it's not wrong, per say, the Sith believe that they have control over the Dark Side, not the other way around.
@@darthbane5357 I Have Come To Learn This Power, It Is The Ultimate Force Killing Power Of The Dark Side Of The Force In Bloodlust, And If Jedi We’re To Be Extinct?, Then All Of The Republic And Skywalker Will Fall Before The Future Come *Sith Eyes Glow Red & Yellow*
Until the eu became legends, I used to think that the demonic voice that echoes Talzin was Noga Sadow, or at least a piece of his soul, since he and his knowledge of Sith alchemy are the reason the nightsisters magic even exists.
Who knows. Maybe one day, Sadow will be made canon again. With Dave and Jon in charge of Star Wars, they'll be relying on Legends for more material to work with.
That makes absolutely no sense, given the witches got their magick from fallen Jedi Master Allya, not to mention the only Witch that was confirmed to be using Sith Sorcery, that being Gethzerion, was born after Talzin.
@michaelkelley2727 it still wouldn't make sense, given even the Nightsisters would reject the dichotomy between Light and Dark. They wouldn't really care about what a deranged spirit would have to offer
She dueled sidious in a comic book. They engaged in a force battle and for a time stood equal ground. But then dooku joined in and maul joined. She was able to sheiks off their lighting while saving her son. She sacrificed herself to save maul.
17:23 Really? That's rich coming from someone who uses a mystical energy of the universe. Plus, her magic looks pretty solid to me. Don't think an "illusion" could do that.
Okay, so lately, I've been on a Power Rangers high and I just looked up. Talzin is voiced by Barbara Goodson, who did the voice half for Rita Repulsa (the live action half being Machiko Soga).
Merrin could be the next Mother... They just need to write out Kata Akuna and Cere's last line takes on a whole new meaning... Merrin is Cal's mara Jade though... Much story to unfold
actually i think that happens in the son of dathomir comics, which would've made for amazing clone wars episodes if the rest of season 6 didn't get screwed over by disney
There is a canon end for her in the comics Basically she is fighting off Palpatine and Dooku with her magic shield, but Grievous passes through it like the terminator and skewers her with two lightsabers
likely due to the fact there was not enough information on their enemy's combat potential aside from the drones, especially since Grievous is incredibly famous and known for killing jedi. Its better to overestimate than underestimate since if she accidentally underestimated him that would've been the end for the Nightsisters. Better to confirm a future than continue a worrysome present
Although people may hate the prequel movies, the characters that were created from it are some of my favourites in the franchise. I really want to see Mother Talzin come back in a live action tv series.
In a fair 1v1 her lighting would take him out real quick. In a lightsaber duel grievous may have the upper hand. But her force powers would be to much for grievous.
Honestly, if this animation studio took on Warhammer 40k imagine how fucking amazing they could make Necrons, that green concentrated dark energy is just amazing!
I want to Change Fate Itself where Merrin still has nine hundred gigillion more sisters in the galaxy born at the exact same time as NightSister Merrin.
Yeah, after defending against sith lightning from two extremely powerful sith lords at the same time and getting snuck up on by Grevious after she had previously thrown him off a cliff with a swipe of her hand.
@@taviondavis1293 actually it was maul who pushed grievous off the cliff. While he was distracted as well; the two were having a pretty good fight before hand
No, a few people have noticed that. Mother Talzin's voice even sounds like Mother Mohiam in the 2000 SyFy miniseries. And Talzin's "double voice" sounds like the original effects for The Voice used in David Lynch's movie.
It make me wonder, if Savajj was a baby when she left Dathomir, how does she remember where she come from? And really, the entire planet is populated only by one village of Night sisters and one village of Night brothers? 8:11 I really don't get her endgame here, why does she help Opress? Didn't he, like, betray Ventress? Does she really think that let him loose is good for her clan? She play on so many boards, it's hard to get what she want. 8:49 And here... She know that the assassination attempt failed, she know that Dooku know that she lied about Ventress death and actually helped her planning his assassination. Why isn't she doing anything? Like moving her clan away, somewhere Dooku doesn't know about? Someone as smart as her couldn't possibly believe the Count wouldn't retaliate and that the whole clan would be in danger. It's really starting to look like she purposefully lead the Nightsister clan to its doom.
I feel like its possible that we may see a return of Mother Talzin and other dead Dathomirians, since the 3 Mother Nightsisters of Peridea seem to want to resurrect the other members of their kind
Asajj Ventress came back, and now we get to see a flashback of the massacre. I think they're going to work more on Nightsisters/Dathomir now. So it's likely that she'll come back.
The way she 1v1'd windu and lived to tell the tale. Even palpy needed help to not die to Windu. If only plot armor was on her side she could have ripped palpy a new one
The ideal apprentice for Sidious to choose to continue Darth Bane's Rule of Two. But Sidious decided to choose Maul over Talzin because he wants to be the one to achieve Darth Bane's long-term goals. No one else. Ironically, Talzin was not a Sith but her close relation with Ventress kind of show a Master and Apprentice relationship.
Ventress: "So, wise Mother, you lured Dooku alone on Dathomir without anyone knowing his whereabouts. This shaded world amplifies our strengths. You had good count drink the witch draught that could easily be poisoned, debilitating him. Why didn't we kill him right here, instead of confronting him in Serenno where he is surrounded by Separatist armies?" Talzin: "Ah, sister, you see that is easily explained... well, it must be that... surely it... well... huh. Actually, I have no idea. That sounds much easier than what I had planned. I could have easily aided you in killing or capturing him, you know how powerful I am? And Dooku was previously captured by pirates." Ventress: "Idiots!"
She’s the night sisters she’s the great mother of the underworld. Of a lot Darth Maul and savage And asajj you’re tricking him because they want to trick the Darkside and spare him and show Darth Maul massive character
