Ok... THIS is the one I was looking for. This has been popping up in my head for years and years. I didn't know the title, and I didn't know the artist. (I never paid much attention to artist names when I was a young boy; I guess I never cared because I was just in love with the music and that was all that mattered at the time). I worked in a warehouse about 6 months ago where one of the guys used to play a lot of reggae over the system between 5 and 6am when we were preparing stock for deliveries. The Dennis Brown version of this was playing one morning and my jaw dropped. I stopped everything and went and asked about the song (didn't know it was Dennis brown). Then I made a mental note to search for it when I got home later that day; but I forgot to do so. Just today the song popped into my head again and I Googled it and realized I remember a different version. I just decided to search again and this is the one... So many memories. I was about 8 years old when this came out; both happy and sad memories from this; full of nostalgia. Thanks for uploading.
If you listen carefully between 5:25 The engineer’s saying “Nuh wound deh Suh!” To all y’all English People reading this thst mean, no round there so! As he’s tell the kids in the studio no to play about behind the engineering mixing board, lol! And between 5:26 nuw picnie, mi seh not behind the mixing board, “nuh ruwnd deh suh!”😂🙌🏿🔥❤️😎
The arrangement by the Studio One band is exceptional considering the equipment's available at the time , brilliant guitar work, this is what musicianship is about , a fantastic track , one of my favorite tunes of all times , no question whatsoever. immortal and timeless quality NEVER fade.

Seriously!!?? Firstly, the Rocky Campbell one isn't even the same tune and secondly it's not even in the same league as this one... But each to their own.
@@TheMrE1974 I always thought Dennis Brown was the author of this song... It's funny, there are always two sides of the same story. This is one of them. All is symbolic in the themes sung. Many only imitate (with talent). But there are those who are sincere, writing to themselves to speak better to everyone. _At the beginning a life adjacent an avenue, there is space, there is always some bench made of concrete_ First i have never idolized anyone. I wanted but never found the person more intelligent than me, never found anything... But this is vanity you know... Complicated for a man, he yells : “I don’t know everything, I would like to learn from you all” All answer him : “ Stop thinking you know everything black eyes ! ” “ There’s nothing more interesting to hear " I have always despised and turned my back on anyone who tells me the truth without proving to me what is true. But why talk specifically about Raggae here? This is one topic among many, and I have plenty. Here I place the recipe for the feast to come on the well-cut tablecloth. But this is vanity you know... I only listened toa bass and a drum. Working on sound. That work do the sound engineers in the studio. A bit also the work of those who "tinkered" with the electronic effects. I'm bad as soon as it's too technical. I'm very lazy… I once started studying sound engineering. I wanted work and record song for radio documentary. It’s a very special genre where editing is very important. So it was the personality of guys like King Jammy that caught my attention. Musically. On the role of the Version and his place here in this music. Here also everyone also picks up nothing, everyone says anything. That's because no one can tell them. See how I don't know either. If the blind lead the blind, they will both fall into the ditch. I just know a little more. This is where symbols belong. They will have eternal meaning for the one who reads. This eternal sense that made of sweat and sand. And that's already not bad ;)
