I've published a lot of Xiaomi POCO F3 camera tests, but not ever focused on mobile videography or mobile filmmaking, since the F3 isn't known for it's camera performance (photography or video), but the MotionCam app changes everything. It allows you to record raw video, specifically raw DNG video, and also provides a converter in the app that allows for frame stacking to reduce noise in your footage. If you are looking for the highest quality recording format for your mobile videography, that can provide you with cinematic looking footage after color grading in an editing program like Davinci Resolve--you've found the right app! Cinema DNG, as a raw video format, is extremely flexible in editing, and I could not believe how well I could recover shots that I underexposed when filming with the POCO F3.
As another POCO F3 camera test that focused on mobile filmmaking, I was surprised at how well the F3 handled MotionCam raw video with it's raw DNG files. The F3's Snapdragon 870 could process 60fps (with some glitches) and I actually think it was held back from performing better with Cinema DNG due to it's low six gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. Raw video files are very large and if you convert on your phone the Cinema DNG files will take up even more space, so just keep that in mind. Cinematic mobile videography is ram and storage heavy and the Xiaomi POCO F3 is a pretty high performance device--but Motion Cam will run better on something more powerful. I did include shots from the stock POCO camera app for comparison with MotionCam.
