"Kid Gloves" hit me different just now. For lack of better words, to me, this man is anointed and that was a true jewel amongst the most shiny objects known to man. 💯 Proud to be a present, black father in these times seeing examples like this. I hope T.I sees the comments! I havent watched any of his previous interviews, but I support and appreciate the conviction of Derrick and there was sooooo much more he was on his way to teach, but for some reason T.I wasn't having it. I don't know if it was nervousness or ego or optics. Derrick is soooo anti- establishment that his words and stories literally wake people up. So I while, I am not surprised that T.I cut him off, I am curious to know as to why... I love how humble Derrick remained through the entire interview. "Big Bro".. meant so much respect and love. I must say I was one of those that prejudged this brother due to common societal norms and am now a fan and really appreciate this brother for not being afraid to be himself but more so not being afraid to yeah and reach his people.
