You are oh, so very, very, very right, Michael! As parents, we need to have to make a big, heartfelt, powerful presence in our children's lives! It is definitely NOT a popularity contest. And there should be consequences for breaking the rules through rebellious behavior that you better not even start to imagine in your head, as a child. Unless you also remember how hard Dad and/or Mom will be coming down on you for trying to experiment in an irresponsible, mindless way!
