Lol, thank you I think. Careful with some like the mirrors. They look amazing but are not that functional. They are ok where I ride but If I would live in the city, I would use a different option.
You have done a wonderful job Wings. My v100 is in hibernation waiting out a New York winter but I'm planning and ordering parts and tools every evening after work. Today my Pit Bull stands came, I'm still waiting on a bright warm sun 🌞.
@@derekperry9139 I don't know how you do it up there, I get withdraws when I can't ride for a week or two and yes it is a very addictive hobby, everytime I think I am done, I see something new shiny ... ; )
I would like to get a more free flowing exhaust for my V100 but I am concerned about the use of the UpMap tool as my dealer installed a free flowing exhaust onto his own V85 and it runs super rich. Way too rich. Is it possible that these maps are set for fuel using ethanol? We don't use it in NZ but it would go some way to explaining why an ethanol based ap would be too rich for a straight petrol fuel. I am absolutely not n engineer or anything of that sort but it is a worry. I know when I purchased a Power Commander and map from Rottweiler, when I actually dynoed it here in NZ using our fuel I managed to squeeze another 11% more power over this supposedly custom map for Husky/Arrow set up. I don't think UpMap have any way of allowing you to create your own map for them to upload. Your thoughts?
You are correct in the assumption that you can’t modify the upmap tunes. I would reach out and chat with Upmap and see if you can maybe get more details. As far as I know, the moto guzzi maps are developed by GCorse and they are a semi factory tuning shop and have been doing this for a long time. I love it every time I ride my V100 no complaints at all. That said, your fuel situation is somewhat unique so I would try to reach out and see what it leads to. Can’t win if you don’t play! Also, contact AF1 racing here in Austin, TX. Ed is very knowledgeable and they also have a close relationship with GCorse. Hope this helps.
How will the upmap work if I keep the stock exhaust and CAT? will it still improve on HP and more stable at idle? I find it is now very lean fueling at lower Revs.
It’s a DIY, due to the lack of any aftermarket solutions. I basically disassembled the tail section, re used the turn signals and had to trim the splash plate on the bottom.
Do you plan on putting the bike on a Dyno yo see if there are any improvements to HP and Torque? It would be very interesting to see if there are any significant changes.
They look amazing but I would not recommend them for daily use, the field of view is rather small and there is no lateral adjustment. For me personal they are a dress up item so I am fine with it. If I ride in the city they will do its job , here in the country I have them down most of the time anyway.
If I understand well (my English is not good), you chose Guareschi from Texas? You really wanted the best for your bike. They are not only dealer but prepare and race the bikes (Vittoriano was a pro, he raced in World Superbike and Supersport for years). 👍🍺
Question. Did swapping the Ago setup for the stock setup, cause faults on the dash and/or ECU? I am installing the setup this week. If so, did you have to get the UpMap to rectify this issue? Am I correct it thinking that all of the UpMap puck devices are the same for all bikes and only the cable and bike specific maps are unique? Thank you very much. 👍🙏😀
No codes or light if you don’t use upmap. You can’t re-use the upmap device from another bike. They are specifically assigned to your bike and email. Hope this helps.
@@ThatGermanFella I apologize. My question was misunderstood. I know that the UpMap is specific to the one motorcycle only. However there are many retailers showing out of stock and others showing in stock and prices seem wildly different depending upon seller you choose. However, from what I can tell, every single UpMap hardware device (the puck) [UpMap T800+] looks to be exactly the same piece of hardware equipment and only the motorcycle model specific connection cable necessary for one’s particular application, seems different. I was just going to purchase the unit and cable from the best price in stock retailer . As much as I adore my Mistral exhausts on my other Moto Guzzi motorcycles, I would love to get a Mistral can like you but I do not want to live with error lights or ECU warnings on my dashboard in my very expensive motorcycle. So now I am even more confused. You threw these error codes after you used the UpMap T800+ then? Were you able to get them removed afterwards somehow? Apologies but this information seems to be the best hidden top secret information in all of the Moto Guzzi world and for the life of me, I cannot get a solid clear explanation. The other item I just cannot wrap my head around is why UpMap has no Mistral exhaust option listed in the maps on UpMap. Insane that the exhaust company 5 blocks from the factory, does not have a specific map. I understand what you said that AF1 said that they are all about the same but I’m not sure I agree with that thinking. Are you convinced that there is no difference? Thank you very much. 👍🙏😀
@@scottmastrocinque Hey Scott, so lets see if I can shine a better light on this. The warning lights I mentioned are just part of the flashing process, they go automatically away once the process is finished. I have NO warning lights whatsoever on my bike. None were thrown related to the header/exhaust before using up map and none are present after using upmap. In one of my earlier videos there was a traction control issue that was caused by running the exhaust system without the proper mounting bracket. As far as using a combination for cable and generic pug, I don't have an answer. I would assume since these are branded GCorse that there is something propiatary inside that recons the bike it is intended for, but again I don't know for sure. Concerning the statement from AF1, I do trust htem and Ed seems to be very knowledgble. Heck he diagnosed my Traction control problem via email conversation. To me personal it is very believeable that all these aftermarket slip on's flow the same as there is only so much you can do. Sure you can change the shape and amount of muffling material but in general they are most like all very similar. I an currently running the factory muffler tune with the Mistral and it is running fine, and the factory muffler is for sure more restrictive so that should tell you the gist of it. Hope this helped a little bit.
@@ThatGermanFella Yes. Very helpful. Thank you very much. 👍🙏😀 Very much looking forward to completing this modification to my motorcycle. I am also with you in thinking that Agostini did a fantastic job with their big bore cat eliminator pipe. The stock system is an ugly and glaring eyesore on an otherwise beautiful motorcycle.
Based on the published numbers by UpMap, +5hp / +5 tq. But the real story is the correct fueling, enhanced quick shifter and cooler running engine. Makes the bike just a joy to ride.
@@volodymyrshoniia2424 lol. at dusk and night I have them off but during the day its just that bit extra. If I am annoying but get noticed, thats alright with me vs the alternative.
@@ThatGermanFella do they have additional lights for these to hang closer to the bottom like they do on some adventure bikes? I find it helpful on my pikes peak, plus there is improved visibility when it's dark.
@@volodymyrshoniia2424 Not that I know of, the V85 Travel had them and I believe the Stelvio as well but this is really a Sport bike / Roadster with "some" touring capabilities so it does not really fit the character of the bike in my opinion.
