Yeah, I dunno why folks think you need a giant pleasure barge to go touring. I own a V7ii and an Enfield Classic 500. You should check out how many of the latter have been toured right round the world.
They have a dry clutch, there's no oil in the clutch and the engine takes a 10W60 JASO MA bike oil, full synth (Agip Eni iRide). Not a basic car oil. This is a high spec oil. The higher viscosity is needed because the motor is air-cooled. The gearbox has its own oil as does the transmission (shaft drive).
