The wonderful Moto Guzzi V7 is a real cracker of a motorbike, and is a fantastic bike to take on a trackday!
This was my first time on track at Anglesey and we were on the International circuit. The trackday was run by No Limits Trackdays, who IMO are by far the best trackday organiser in the UK. I really must try one of their European circuit trackdays at some point.
If ever you are wondering what a trackday would be like, but don't think you have a suitable bike for it, if it is in good condition and has tarmac based tyres, then you have the perfect bike for it. Why not give one a try? :-)

If you don't like the idea of riding your own bike, you can always hire one, just remember you'll need an ACU helmet and either full one piece leathers, or a 2 piece suit that fully zips together.
Oh, also if you didn't watch to the end so didn't see me getting told off... don't wear a body camera either! :-)

Even when I am on my 765, it is all about the fun for me on track, obviously I want to always catch the bike in front if I am able, but if I'm not chuckling or grinning, I am doing it wrong! :D Cheers for watching Jack! :-)

Getting all excited along with you. top track day session. the lill bike holds it own. a real competitive bunch on the track with their super sports xyz. lots o fun, you had my attention right to the end. the extra cam angels were really good. 👍👍

Knee down on the Guzzi and scraping side stand - looks like a lot of fun out there but yes if it only had another 100HP! I like seeing these track days HD.

Fantastic riding and wonderful camera work buddy. It's so awesome to see how much you're enjoying yourself. It's a shame the organisers couldn't control the groups a little more. But you seem to handle them just fine even with your 200hp penalty ;)

Thanks mate, I love it on track, if I was a little faster I'd possibly have a go at Thunderbike 500 racing, but I am way off race pace :-) It is hard for the TDO's to sort the groups, if this had been on a regular weekend, the inters group would have been a lot slower than it was here as this was on a race weekend so was full of ACU chaps getting practice in for the weekends racing! :-) I am so, so glad I got the V7 on track here, Lord Vaders trackdays are over now though, she has proved herself, just need another project bike to turn into a trackdaytroll :D

One billion "like" :-) , And you prove we can enjoy in a track with any motorbikes, not only with overpowered motocycle. I like the V7, but I always hate its OEM tyres! I think Guzzi should offer us better quality OEM tyres. GREAT VID ! -

Cheers Ant, who needs horsepower when you have a grin on ya face! :D The tyres are bad when cold, but do get pretty grippy once up to temp, I just wish they had a sportier profile so I could get some proper lean angles on! :D Thanks mate! :-)

It was an amazing day, the bike was a little slow for Inters as it was filled with a lot of racers having practice for the weekends racing. I'll look into Pembrey, ty! :-)

I actually dropped down to novice group after lunch and yup, was a bit faster on the corners than most... there were racers in the novice group too though, who were riding like dicks, a later vid shows one of them swerving into my mate in what looked to me an intentional move which got me raging! You only go as fast as you tell it, and you are under no pressure to ride faster than you want to... get on a novice only day, you'll have a right laugh! :-)

Amazing to see all the views from the different cameras and how low you get on the cornering. Great 360° footage work too. When you lean in to a curve shown on your chest came I find myself leaving too, giving a bit of body English while watching, or is that just called Body in the UK? I think I would be like you and have fun in the moment rather than be razor focused on being a serious rider.

It was quite the camera fest... so much so I got told off lol 😆 Haha, like you, I lean into the corners on videos too... is mad how they can engage you into the moment of the ride, be it on track, trail, or road! Track time... well tbh, bike time, is purely for fun for me... so if I can't have a giggle, I'm doing it wrong! 🤪

Having WAY too much fun! :) Man, if it wasn';t for those dumb straight bits... Wow - your bike's only 1/2 a HP more than mine... but then I've also kept up with litre sport bikes... on corners, lol, so I know it's not ALL about how big. nice one mate!

Haha 😂 aye, the little V7 can hold its chin high... As can my mates KTM 390 Duke who will be featuring in another vid.... So many folk dismiss lower powered bikes and spend out thousands on the latest greatest hyperbikes... when more often than not, they could spend a tiny percentage of that on some instruction and get better skills or laptimes with 100bhp less! :-) But if they all did that, I'd not have as much fun trolling them on the V7 hahaha 😂

@@HippoDrones I've often observed this. On the same B-road, the 95bhp Tiger 800 as expected had a fair bit more acceleration on the straights but my V7ii was far more confident, I think that is the right word, on the bends, held its line comfortably without deviating and skipping about like the Tigger, and that's with the V7 entirely stock, apart from the Avon tyres :)

@@jeffslade1892 awesome stuff, the relatively long wheel base of the shaft driven V7 does keep it nice and stable! I've dropped the front 10mm to speed up the steering a little :-)

Hi Don, thanks and thanks! :-) Glad you enjoyed! :-) It started off back in 2012 as a V7 Stone, in matt black and bog standard. I've had it from new.... but is is very not standard anymore. My dream for motovlogging is to have a GoPro-quality action cam lens & sensor unit that is attached to a mini A/V recorder by a thin A/V cable (or wireless A/V). That way the only thng attached to our helmets/bikes/bodies would be about the width & height of a GoPro lense cover, and twice as thick. Or smaller. Or have one camera lens mounted on the North, South, East and West points of the helmet to record each view in 4k that gets stitched together for stabilized, 360-degree helmet cam footage.

I actually tried making an internally mounted helmet cam that recorded 1080/60 and fitted in the chin piece of my helmet, the only bit that showed externally was the lens and it could be angled to suit your riding position. I didn't like having all the exposed electronics in the helmet chin space though so I shelved the idea. Maybe if I get a helmet with a larger chin piece or find a way to run the wires into my pocket or wrist it could be doable.

I''d love to know how your getting such stable footage on your handlebar mounted cameras. On my v7-1, the rumble makes the camera have a wobbling effect. Using a GoPro 5.

Hi, I was using the Hero 7 Black on the bars, it has far far better stabilisation than the 5. On the road I use a 5 Session as a helmet cam, as you don't need such smooth footage and the 7 becomes a bit weird as a helmet cam.

The camera I was using to face me was an Insta360 One X which is an altogether different kettle of fish! :-) the 360 cameras are crazy stable at the cost of resolution and bitrate! :-)

Hippo-Drones ohh got it, copy that on both the GoPro and 360. I just mount my go pro to my helmet now, but really am digging these 360 videos. Was their a particular reason you went for the 360x over the others?

Have you looked into your next tires? I can’t recommend enough the Continental Road Attack 3s for the bike. They have about a 100 mile break in period, but after that they are brilliant for the Guzzi. They make the sport daemon’s look pretty weak. At least for me on the highway and roads with a lot of painted lines or snakes, my daemons has my back end acting vague, but the Conti’s feel planted like crazy.

Aye, at the time the 360 X offered the best resolution when windowed. The GoPro Fusion is also very hard to edit so the Insta360 One X made most sense.... especially at the price point! :-)

Oddly it isn't, I talk to myself on trackdays anyway so it is just an expansion on that.... I also don't tend to think too hard about what crap is falling outta my mouth... which is why some of it is inane gibberish! :D Hahahaha :D

hey there again, its 07/18/20 and i just discovered the GTM-01 and GTM-02 which is a 1,380cc mosquito/hornet lookin costumized Guzzi bike, check it out. Its awesome, try racing it on this track again with those racers..(if u can own one first though)😄😅

Try Michelin - make the bike another dimension. Got then on my V7 II - makes the bike much more handy - and last a little bit longer then worst Daemons. And may :-) break later and accelerate earlier - The only way to copensate less performance is madness!

I think with the sidestand grounding out, it is about all it has with the Sport Demons fitted at the time of this vid, but the V7 is a very fun bike to play on track with! :D

.nooo 😭did u replace the original stock exuast pipe? I would've be even sexier if u didn't, those racers will surely take a look of curiousity and wonder at your bike. Im pretty sure that it will be just like when u were with beatiful sexy waifu walkin at the park, they would not be able to resist to take a glance at her rear.😭 once that they were distracted they would surely not blame u when they realize they were flyin in the air. I bet they wont ever regret takin a glance at it.

...too bad am still in college and still had a long way to sav up foo her. Am a sproutin young man and had to save up at least 700,000 pesos(philippine currency) but that would take me 5 years(2moreyrstograduate+3yrstosavemoneyfrompolicejob), ill b 26/27yrsold by then and only thn will ill b able to hav her😭😭😭 am so frustrated..😪😪😪 (sorryboutdat)
