I bloomin love this little bike, and this was probably the second most awesome thing I have done on it so far (the first being a trip around Europe). Brand Hatch GP circuit ain't to shabby either! :-)

@@HippoDrones just love mine. Always wanted a guzZI but was nervous about reliability etc. Couldn't have been more wrong. Have changed from a line of about 12 consecutive bee-ems and wish I'd done it sooner. Easily my favourite bike - EVER!

@@HippoDrones customised mine too. Smaller rear light, cut off rear fender, 2 into 1 exhaust , rear sets and special paint job. Looks the dogs danglies (in my opinion, of course). Started out as a 2015 Stone ll. All i need now is some riding lesson from you.

Hi Hippo-Drones. You give it all, in germany we say "maggi geben" .....I like...I got a V7 II special since february 2017 and rode more than 10.000 km in the next 8 months.... this bike means motorcycling as it should be.....brrrroaahh!

Love the Triumph Jacket while riding the Moto Guzzi! LOL! I do that all the time myself. I have a moto guzzi brown leather, a Triumph 3 season, a Kawasaki mesh, and a Harley denim jacket. I wear whichever I want on whichever bike I feel like. I currently have the V7 Café Classic but am looking at a V7 III stone or special.

I shall, and will keep you posted. I like the fact you said you took it all over Europe...that will be one of my intentions. To commute from London to Spain regularly....you confirm the bike should be sufficient for touring....thanks! :)

I was the same, i've had many bikes and some quite exotic and far more expensive than the V7 but the V7 is the bike I kept (admittedly it looks a wedge different now than it di in this video) :D

Suburban Sharktank the first trackday I went to I hired a bike for it. Which is great as you don't need to worry about anything,just turn up and ride! :-)

Suburban Sharktank with the modifications I've done to the bike I'll not really be able to take it on track again. My KTM 390 could be a giggle on the right circuit though.

Hiya, it was an awesome fun day! :D Oh cool, sounds like she is a keeper! ;-) :D haha :D I was running the standard Pirelli Sport Demons, I still do, they are not great in the wet and they don't last very long, I just got a set cheap, I think folk highly rate the Bridgestones, although that might have changed??? :-)

Great video. I just bought a V7 II 2015 a week ago. I have to order parts on line as there is little support here in Turkey. I also can't find the Pirelli Demons. Is there anyone who has tried different tyres and also different sizes on the rims?

Hiya, spares can be a little problematic on the UK too. Not sure about different sizes, but most seem to get shot of the Sport Demons so there are better tyres. I stick with them as in the UK I've been able to buy second hand but new tyres cheap as folk get shot as they don't like them. I'm very interested in getting a V7iii How much of a power increase is possible out of the little 750s when we wanna stretch the usage of the bike to lead up to a true sport bike like a 600 or 750?

Hi Johnathan, although the engine on a standard V7 is quite unstressed and tuning is possible, it'll never match the power output of a modern 600. Out the box the V7iii has around 50bhp. There is a chap in the USA who made a big bore kit for the V7 and converted it to a 4 valve per head which had a quite healthy 65bhp. I've also heard of a V7 with a turbo or supercharger fitted, but from what I remember, although it produced more power, it was very lumpy. You kind of have to look at V7's in a different way, they are not about the power, they are more about the enjoyment of ragging a bike with not much power, which is often far more fun! :-)

Hippo-Drones Thanks! I just wanted to know if there were any options to bring it close to 80hp of better for a later date. Also, what do you mean by "lumpy"?

@@johnathanburt6846 I don't think 80bhp is doable on the V7, the V9 with some porting and fancy (expensive) tuning may get closer to that, but they are a different bike altogether. By "lumpy" I mean the dyno chart showed it to not be a smooth increase in torque or power, the graph was a wobbly line rather than a straight one in simple terms! :-) In this vid I overtook a Fireblade, an RGV 250 and a CBR trackbike as well as others... but I was in novice group, the folk on those bikes were not fast riders. With hindsight, I should have been in Inters, but I didn't want to be a mobile chicain for them so went novice.... quite possibly I would have been fine.... hoping so as got it booked in for Angelsey circuit in the summer! :D

Power isn't the point of a V7. It's real world rideability. It handles well and goes substantially over the national speed limit. It isn't designed to be stupidly fast; it's designed to be both practical and fun. I'm on my 2nd V7. My previous bike was more powerful, faster, took me all over Britain, but was never half as much fun as the Guzzi.

out the box they will do around 110mph eventually, it only has around 48bhp! :D

TBH I am not into fast riding or knee dragging. I just want an humble allround bike for commuting as well as touring. I particularly like this V7 because it sounds absolutely lovely, looks awesome and reasonably priced.
