In this episode of AccessToPower we will show you a third method of Sequencing the start-stop function of Motor controls. While the method in part 1 of this series is probably the most common method, I want to show that there are multiple ways of accomplishing the same result. This style of motor control is used in many applications. It allows Motors to be started and stopped in a particular order.
In this example, we wire 3 motors to start in sequence from motor 1 to motor 3.
The requirements for this circuit are as follows.
1: Each motor must be started in order from 1 to 3.
2: When motor 1 is stopped, motors 2 and 3 must also stop.
3: When the estop is pushed, all the motors will stop.
There is more than one way to accomplish what we are describing here, and this is the 3rd video in a 3 part series on several different methods of wiring sequenced start-stop circuits.
The simulation software I use in these tutorials is called "Constructor" and a trial can be downloaded from www.cmhsoftware.com/download
