Dude! I just passed my Mod1 with a clean-sheet in torrential rain. It's almost entirely down to watching this video so many times. Thanks so much for posting this. It helped massively!!
I’ve watched many, this one was helped me the most. I’ve come to the conclusion we British people talk too much and make things more complicated than they are 🤣
I remember my Mod 1, what a nightmare! I had a hail storm whilst doing it, my emergency stop resulted in a slide due to the hail on the ground and my hazard avoidance was terrifying. The guy was understanding and passed me. Your Mod 1 looked perfect to me, well done.
It’s so funny to me that they could fail you and then watch you ride home on the bike. What a money scheme lol. But great video, I got my mod one soon so will be practising all this before test day. Thank you for uploading.
But how is that any more ridiculous than you passing and then watching you ride home? You understand there is a mod 2 right? And you can’t do mod 2 before mod 1? So regardless of whether you pass or fail, you’re still a provisional rider when you leave the test centre 🥴
@@darrenrees3284On an A2 licence you can have a bike that meets full A test requirements. So they could fail you and say you’re not road worthy, then watch you ride the bike home legally.
Hey! Really liked the video, thanks for posting this. One question, how did you manage to take your own motorbike to center without having full license.
I noticed that you reversed out the space then rode into the training ground. I take it you do not need to ride straight on to it? My instructor was adamant that I was to ride in?
What a shame that all the hurdles have to be adhered to to pass your test - I was fortunate to be able to learn on a 250cc and take verbal instructions on the 1 test and then ride anything you liked.
I’ve used my quad lock on a Grom, R6, HD street 750 and just fitted it to my new fireblade. They’re a little more expensive than some of the other phone mounts on the market but I cannot recommend them highly enough.
@@hoodedr6 I did my A2 on my own 125, on my test there was gravel and locked up the rear, let the rear go and reapplied to stop in time. Thought I'd failed but they passed me as "I recognised it immediately and corrected very well" Still chuffed and have had an 800, 1200 cc no issues
Direct Access just means you go straight for an A licence, rather than progressing through the licences. And yep, of course they still do them, I'm in the middle of my course now.
Mate you did well understanding his accent. I am from the UK and he is speaking so fast, and such a strong accent I can't even understand some things he says!
@@alexandrpershin If your international licence is valid, why would you need to do tests for a UK licence? Presumably you would not have been allowed on the road until you had completed Mod1 & Mod2 - otherwise, why would they ask you to do the tests? Haha
@@mark0365 I was interested to get UK driving license, because my international license is valid for one year in UK from the moment I arrived. Which means after 1 year I wouldn't be allowed to ride motorcycle in UK with international driving license. That's why I applied for UK driving license while I had right to ride the bike with international driving license(while 1 year hasn't passed).
@@marcussparcus3590 Hey mate, sorry for late reply. There will be "tell me show me part", reading the number plate from 20m and then riding in the city/national roads, there are many videos in youtube about mod 2, the top tip - ride safely!
@@alexandrpershin yeah I heard about the " tell me show me part" but watching all the videos , it just looks exactly the same to me as doing the CBT but just a higher power bike
@@alexandrpershin I don't think you can. You would have only have had a provisional licence up to 125, unless this was a mod 1 for a 125. For a more powerful bike you need to be accompanied by an instructor and insured through them. I have seen people turn up here with no L plates then put them on for their tests. You took a chance but I wouldn't recommend it
@@inconvenientfacts6452 it's very possible he's on an A2 restricted license and upgrading to a full A unrestricted. He's required to put the Ls on for the test but he's free to ride home without them on an A2. It's an old 650 so it'll be within the restriction
@@matthewlatchem4616 Which is so funny when you think about it, imagine failing your mod 2 with a current A2 licence, and then they watch you ride away from the test centre on the same bike they just failed you on lol
@@mitchedwards1397 Yes its all bollox, money making, I have full HGV license but i still have to do the hazard perception test even though on the HGV hazard perception you have to get a higher score.
I have a question. You passed the theory exam and the CBT course, but you are not permitted to ride a motorcycle larger than 600cc to the test facility without an A category licence. Can we ride bikes with 600cc or more for MOD1 text without receiving a fine?
I think he got his full bike license in a country from which you can’t exchange your licence to a UK one but you’re allowed to drive/ride for 6 months. He probably took the test while he was still able to use it.
Дружище, ты крут! Мои поздравления!!! Насчёт выбора мотоцикла, как говорится на вкус и цвет товарищей нет. Посмотри обзоры и бери то, чего душа желает!
Failed this today Acused of not using front brake on the emergency break when I did, I assume, it wasn't a clean one, but the examiner acused me of not using the front break at all, I'm literally in my bed now, sick, my head is killing me, it put me down so hard that I believe I'm going given up on the driving license...
Quite similar to the Dutch AVB exams, but the Dutch exam seems slightly more difficult. Figure of 8 is done within a square, which means yours would've been much too wide. That evasion at 8:45 wasn't half as wide as on the Dutch exam. Other than that, pretty nice to see how similar our exams are :)
I don’t understand how he was able to ride his bike to and from the test? Surely he would need to pass mod 1 and mod 2 to do that. Since he’s doing a mod 1, I’m assuming the bike is more than 125cc
At the time of doing mod 1, I already had the driving license issued by another country. That gives you a right to ride/drive vehicle in UK for 1 year.
@jake M dunno where your getting 15 pound from its 250 to resit and several people fail this everyday as easy as it is to pass its so easy to fail just with one mistake
Even the instructor jokes right at the beginning about the illegal L plate. Driving not in accordance with his licence and no insurance. This guy would be banned from riding if he was stopped by police. And to put a video up of it as well. Jeeez
Hey, that joke was not about my bike 🙂 I also was asked by examiner how did I get to driving test center on my motorbike, I showed him my international driving license and he replied that's fine.
@@alexandrpershin You have 12 months to exchange a foreign driving licence to a UK one. During those 12 months you don't need an L plate. So, you must have been out your 12 months to have L plates. In any case, it's illegal to ride a 650cc on a UK road with an L plate unaccompanied because it shows you are a learner. It's like driving a car on your own with L plates
