How to do a motorcycle oil change on most modern motorcycles, done on my 2000 E1 Kawasaki Ninja ZX9r. For supersport bikes and other performance bikes a highly recommend Motul 7100 Fully Synthetic motor oil, since using it my bike run on average three degrees Celsius cooler.

Good stuff don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. I wouldn’t use flush never have or will recommend that.

We used to use it at work on every service years ago when I was a mechanic. Also I think I probably explained in the video why I did, it done the job I needed it to do. This was about two years back now, now the engine is in pieces 😂

Awesome bikes mate 👍 Mine is now at about 23k, 16k when I got it. Just done valve clearances, changed all head gaskets, bolts and seals, but needs a new CCT, seems the old one didn't like being disturbed 😂

My only issue with non FI engines is carburetor maintenance unfortunately rely on mechanics something I try to avoid,

Luckily I trained as a mechanic, so I like to tinker with vehicles and do all the work I can. My carbs should be fine for some time yet too, as they were cleaned, balanced and set up before I bought the bike. They looked great still when I done some work on them (shimmed the main jet needles and screwed out the pilot jets half a turn each, both to complement other mods).

I don't think pro line is suitable for wet clutches... I used it and didn't know till after haha 😂 . It done no harm.... 😊

Yea, to be perfectly honest I didn't think to do research into that either 😂 That and the new oil seem to have done some good though, it just seems to have had a power boost, not that it was slow before. Both are meant to restore power in one way or another, the flush is kind of obvious in certain engines, like mine that sat for a long time unused. I wasn't sure at first whether it was just like a placebo, but it's not 😎👍

Generally speaking you are supposed to fill up the oil filter with oil and not put it on dry

Not true mate, some people like to but it's absolutely not necessary, it changes nothing. It fills up in a couple of seconds once you run the engine, a long time before it will get the chance to heat up to any temps that could potentially damage it. Just remember to recheck the level after five mins or so after switching off, and top up as needed, I also like to check after the first couple of rides to be sure it is at the correct level. I was a mechanic in my younger days, never filled them at work or on my own cars, or my bikes, no harm in doing so either other than making a mess.

Sometimes it's not possible. These bikes have a horizontally fitting oil filter so even if you tried to fill it, the oil will run out during installation. You could try and saturate the inner media and fill it to the drip line I suppose and hope not to make a mess, but you'd never be able to fill it compared to if it were a vertical fitment.
