La Fortuna. It is beautiful. I stayed in a resort at the near the volcano and went horseback riding at the very bottom.

I agree stopping off at some local restaurants and cafe's would be so cool ,maybe meet the locals a bit more . Costa Rica looks so cool .

That's why I sold my R18 first edition. The rear shock was terrible and I couldn't find an after market brand anywhere. I got two Corbin saddles and nothing helped. My back had enough and I sold it. I should have waited for the touring models. Good luck it looks like it's not raining.

The experience and the chance to see so much more. Motorcycles bring more things to a life than many will ever understand. As a biker/motorcyclist it gives different views and I had a chance due to the military to travel for years onwards two to three years on average each place traveling around and more. It’s all great.

Ah my favourite time of the day = 6am in the morning.. blue skies.. open roads.. #memories 👀😀You're looking good Jess.👍 OK, newbies.. When you are travelling abroad.. You MUST ensure that ALL of your DOCUMENTATION is with you AND available for law enforcement et should you get stopped. FAILURE to do so, even a simple error can (in some countries) see your bike SEIZED.. YOUR vehicles re lighting, attachments in some countries must conform to their rules and regulations, SOME insist you carry certain extra gear such as warning triangles et et AND you can be in serious trouble IF they check and you don't comply!! 👀TYRES !! I've worn tyres down to the braiding which was visible .. OMG! So always remember to check your tyres and ideally keep a note of how many miles you've covered on your tyres et.. 👀When I've been in group riding we've always taken a SUPPORT vehicle with us.. BUT if you are in a country with a good support / rescue service available and your are SUBSCRIBED to it .. ?👍IF you get a puncture, some countries will PLUG, I mean PLUG inserted into the tyre.. to stop the tyre leak.. it is TEMPORARY.. the first chance you get you should change the tyre.. (You can buy a motorcycle tyre repair kit .. with the tool required and plugs et et )

As heavy and expensive as the R18 is I'm surprised BMW did not offer electrically adjustable suspension.

Rocky, gravel roads are not really what cruisers are designed for. You covered that nicely with the handlebar cam and aAaAudio. 😂 The beemers are not loud bikes, so i can understand how there may be only wind noise. I have noticed it’s rare to hear the bike much in your Costa Rica videos. I’m not a loud pipes save lives kinda guy, despite having a Road King in my stable. I’m fine with the music. You put it where you feel it’s needed, its not like you have music going constantly. Works for me. 😊 Really glad you didn’t get to meet any piranhas. That would have raised the adrenaline level and not in a good way. I laugh every time you’re riding along mid story and then you see an animal. It’s like… “look, squirrel!” or “Oooh, shiny!” And maybe a little squeal for good measure. 😂

Seen Mt Erebus and Mt St Helens from a VXE-6 C-130 right after it blew up, BMW R-18 is like a tad bit cooler because it can see a lot more stuff that doesn't kill you. I would skip the Piranha; it would be my luck to get eaten.

JORDAN!!! Baby wants a winter home with a volcano! lol. it did look really awesome there. zip lines are fun. i only been on one in the army. still was fun. that one looked awesome. did you have the music for the zip line to cover you screaming? lol. i think a guided tour is good and bad. good because they have it planed keep you from getting lost/in trouble. bad because you cant take side trips/stop where you want to like that small town. did you see the crater where the Predator tried to blowup Arnold? or the Jurassic Park island? 🤣🤣. oh btw you was right about Amanda Zito bike. it is a 500cc.. 8k miles on a 500cc bike,,,girl deserves a sponsor and a freaking trophy for all time iron butt record lol. good vid

Awesome video. My take-away (living vicariously through you!), is just back to the cliché: Life is a journey, not a destination. Listening to you describe your experiences, not just with what you see, hear, etc., but also the emotions that those experiences being up is what I think they are hoping to give folks with these adventures. The Arenal Volcano was thought to be extinct until it exploded in 1968, with huge pyroclastic fluxes, tall ash clouds, and throwing away gigantic rocks, resulting in at least 78 casualties.

On some roads, terrain et you can help make the ride more acceptable by not only adjusting suspension BUT as a quick remedy, adjusting TYRE pressures.. lowering them et slightly.. 👀
