It's June 2023. Sofia has just acquired a 2009 Suzuki V-Strom 1100 and we are ready to take it on a trip we've been looking forward to for a while -- The Colorado Rockies!
Campsites we visit include River Hill Campground; Lake View Campground; Black Canyon of the Gunnison South Rim Campground. All beautiful and worth visiting. We took very basic camp gear and the weather was great the whole time.
This was Teague's first time motorcycling Colorado but Sofia has been to the southern part of the state on two wheels before (on her Royal Enfield Himalayan, there's a video!) and we got to experience Sofia's favorite road: Highway 145 heading south out of Telluride.
We spent a couple nights with family and one night at the Straiter Hotel in Durango, neither of which we took much footage of. The rest was beautiful roads, views and some motorcycle camping to remember. Thanks for traveling along.
