I met Lemmy when i was around 10 years old, walking around stockholm with my friends in 2011. I was intimidated by his looks and that it was a large crowd around him outside the venue where they played, I just managed to say Hi to him, and he said hi to me back and said it was very cool that me and my friends came out to see him with our parents, I had no clue who he was or what band he was in so i just said thanks and walked away. When i turned 18 i got into rock/metal and especially motörhead and then i realized... Omg i met Lemmy. I felt so honored in that moment but also so very sad that i couldn't see him another time as he sadly already passed. It's a very fun/unique story i have haha

I was one of those suggesting you should make your own pick from time to time and this reaction shows why its a great idea. Hope you make it a regular feature, even if it does slightly delay my stuff in the queue a little more...

A song that i'll stop doing what ever I'm doing and listen.The crowd size caught my attention, Then saw the flaming bull head. Reminded me of the Nightwish At Wachen 2013. Germany.

Have another great Heroes cover by Depeche Mode, but don't be scared! They don't play the kind of music what I didn't like in the early 80's amymore. It's a huge tribute to Bowie, which was made in 2017 shortly after David's passed away in 2016. Part of it is that this song really meant a lot of them! Because if the two strangers aren't in the same place that day, Martin Gore won't hear Dave Gahan singing 'Heroes'. This song led to the formation of DM and I think they are a beautiful memory as a kind of gratitude and thanks. (They said it had never been more important to them to make a song sound as perfect as possible. They loved and looked up Bowie so much. ) I think they succeeded btw. RIP Bowie🕊️ RIP Lemmy🕊️ David, I felt your reaction every moment; We love you! ✌🏻&💜 Sorry for this long...😅

I love how Lemmy changed the lyrics to make it a tribute to their fans. "You (the fans), you are insane, and I'm, I am the same..."

That song is so haunting. It's a great departure from their typical sound, but they manage to keep the Motorhead feel.

Mr Heretic great review as always. My favorite cover of Bowie's song, yes they went in a total different direction and made great and their own. Thanks for the review as always. My I ask a question? I grew up with U2 and the band is important to me. Do you like U2 and are for them or against them? Fr Barnabas
@THEDavidHeretic

U2 is a band that I honestly don't have a whole lot of experience with, other than what I have reacted to and reviewed on the channel. I knew of a couple of their songs, but not many. I know they have had an impact on music around the world, and they definitely have a signature sound and style. That's about all I know about them.

Whoa, one of my fave Bowie songs, I love Bowie and just a casual Motorhead fan- I didn't know (or forgot) this was a thing! Very interesting! I dig it. I think you'd like the Cat People cover by Shooter Jennings and Marilyn Manson. It's like slow atmospheric, spooky, country, rock n roll.

Okay. The bronze member is sold out. So I will suggest a request here. You need to check out Chris Klafford doing Tennessee Whiskey. (kitchen Sessions) You can thank me later for the introduction. Also I'm going to make a bold statement and say. I believe Chris Stapleton might have nothing on this guy. Hopefully this gets thru and enjoy

@@THEDavidHeretic lol. The perfect answer. Being a New born Lemmian for over 40 years I'll never say anything bad about Motorhead. They did decent covers in that era (Leaving here,Train kept a-rollin', Beer drinkers & hell raisers) but this one...Vibrator is way better. Did she think the mike was off?

@@Vrakom She was never known for being a great vocalist, but she was known for being an incredible frontwoman and performer. She would come out on occasion and join Motorhead for a song or two onstage. I saw them do Jailbait and No Class together, and they sounded great.

@@THEDavidHeretic I have a live version of No class (w/Wendy) on From the vault album. Also contain a Girlschool version of Bomber and unreleased material like Dirty love (Ace of spade sessions), Turn you round again, Masterplan and two different songs named Under the knife.

Dissapointed. - I do understand the Motörhead- and Lemmy-Appreciation, but this cover is maybe a 5-6. It is a fast shot, not really great produced, like in a hurry. Now you sound one of those who rank all tracks of their "Heroes" on 10. - But I get it! Because emotionally this is great. But for it self it isn't. (Pardon my bad english.)
